Viewing serial number effectivity details for engineering document

This page allows you to view the serial number effectivity details of the engineering document .Tell me more.

Select the “View Serial No Effectivity” link at the bottom of the “View Part No Effectivity” page.

The “View Serial No Effectivity” page appears.

The system displays the following in the “Eng. Doc. Details” group box:

Eng. Doc # #	The engineering document for which the serial number effectivity details are displayed.
Revision #	The revision number of the engineering document.
Subject	The textual description of the engineering document.
Serial # Change?	The system displays the option for the serial number change, which could be one of the following: “None” – Indicates that the serial number change is not required for the component. “Append Mod Status #” – Indicates that the new serial number is obtained by adding the modified “Mod Status #” to the existing serial number. "Specific" – Indicates that the serial number change has to be done by the user.

Enter the following field:

Part #

Use the drop-down list box to select the part number for which the serial effectivity details must be viewed. The system lists all the part numbers for which the engineering document is applicable, as defined in the “Edit Part No Effectivity” page.

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the serial effectivity details for the selected part.

The system displays the following field:

Part Description

The description of the part.

The system displays the following fields in the “Part Details” multiline.

Serial #	The serial number of the part for which the engineering document is applicable.
Manufacturer Serial #	The serial number of the part manufacturer.
Component #	The number identifying the component on which the engineering document must be executed.
New Serial #	The new serial number of the part for which the engineering document is applicable.

Select the “View Terminated Engineering Document” link at the bottom of the page to view the details of the terminated engineering documents.

This page allows you to view the serial number effectivity details of the engineering document. You can view the serial numbers of the parts for which the engineering document is applicable. You can select a part and view the serial number details such as part serial number, manufacturer serial number, and the component ID on which the engineering document must be executed, in the multiline.
