Using Online Help

This page allows you to edit the customer group selected in the previous page. You can activate or inactivate the customer group and modify the customer group description. You can enter the customer association details for the customer group.

The “Edit Customer Group” page appears.

Date Format

The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Customer Group Details” group box:

Controlled Group

Indicates whether the customer group is a controlled group or a user-defined group. The system displays one of the following options:

  • Yes – Denotes that the customer group is classified as a controlled group that is predefined in the system

  • No – Denotes that the customer group is classified as a user-defined group

Status

Use the drop-down list box to change the status of the customer group. The system lists the following options:

  • Active – Select this to activate the customer group.

  • Inactive – Select this to inactivate the customer group. The inactivated customer group is disabled from future reference.

The system displays the following fields:

Group Type Code

The group type to which the customer group belongs

Group Type Desc.

The textual description of the customer group type

Customer Group #

The number identifying the customer group whose details you wish to edit

Customer Group Desc.

The textual description of the customer group (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Customer #

The code identifying the customer that must be associated with the customer group (Alphanumeric, 18). Mandatory. This code must be already defined in the “Create Customer” activity in the current organizational unit.

Ensure that the operational status of the customer is “Active” in the current organizational unit.

 

Help facility available

Note: If the customer group is a controlled group, then the customer code should be unique to the “Customer Group #” and “Group Type Code” combination.

If the “Group Type Code” is “Account”, ensure that the nature of the customer is not “Internal” in the “Create Customer” Activity of “Customer” business component.

The system displays the following field:

Customer Name

The name of the customer

Remarks

Any remark or comment regarding the customer group (Alphanumeric, 255).

Note: Ensure that at least one record is entered in the multiline.

The system displays the following details in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the customer group

Created Date

The date on which the customer group was created

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the customer group

Last Modified Date

The date on which the customer group was last modified

Inactivate the customer group

You can inactivate a customer group to disable it from future reference in other activities.

The system updates the customer group status as “Inactive”.
