This page allows you to set options for component replacement transaction. Tell me more.
Select the “Option Settings” link under the “Component Replacement” business component.
The “Set Options” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Option Setting Details” group box:
Automatic Generation of Warranty Claim |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field to "Yes" to enable the automatic generation of warranty claim. Select “No”, if you wish to disable the automatic generation of warranty claim. The system sets the field to “Yes” by default. |
Default Replacement Date based on source document |
If this option is set to “Yes”, then the “Removal Date” and “Removal Time” fields in the "Update Component Replacement Details" activity will be set to the date and time specified in the source document. Select "No" if you do not wish to set the date and time of the source document. |
Check whether assembly status is complete |
If this option is set to “Yes”, then the system will check whether the assembly status of the incoming part number and serial number is “complete” before replacing a component in the “Component Replacement” business component. Select "No", if this check is not required. |
Default Description of Warranty Claim from CR |
The default description of the warranty claim (Alphanumeric, 20) The system generates the warranty claim for the component replacement with the description specified here. |
Permit Error Logging of Component Replacement? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether error logging of component replacement transactions is permitted or not. The system lists the following options:
The system displays “No” by default. |
Click the “Set Options” pushbutton, to define the system parameter values.
Note: The system sets the parameter values and stores the login user name and the current server date as the last modified date.
The system displays the following field in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the option settings. |
Last modified Date |
The date on which the option settings was last modified. |
