Selecting aircraft for entering configuration details

This page allows you to select an aircraft to add or modify its configuration details. Tell me more

Select the “Build Aircraft Configuration” link under the “Configuration” business component.

The “Select Aircraft” page appears.

Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the aircraft registration number for which the configuration details have to be defined:

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft for which the configuration details are to be defined (Alphanumeric, 30). The aircraft registration number must have already defined in the “Create Aircraft Information” of “Aircraft” business component and it is in “Active” or “Under Creation” status.

Alternately, you can enter Nose # in the field. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character, similar to A/C Reg #. The smart search retrieves aircraft with the nose # similar to that specified in the field.

Select the “Build Aircraft Configuration” displayed alongside to enter the aircraft configuration details.

Search for aircraft

Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for an aircraft. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft registration number for which the details are to be defined or modified (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the registration number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the aircraft registration numbers that are in the “Active” or “Under Creation” status and whose aircraft registration numbers are similar to the value entered here.

Aircraft Model #

The model associated to the aircraft for which the configuration details are to be entered (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the model number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the aircraft belonging to the aircraft models that are similar to the number entered here.

Configuration Class

Use the drop-down list box to select the configuration class for which the details are to be entered. The system retrieves the aircraft that are associated to the configuration class entered here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve registration numbers irrespective of the configuration class. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Maint. Operator #

To retrieve aircraft associated with specific maintenance operator, use the drop-down list box to select the maintenance operator. The drop-down list box displays values based on the process parameter "Allow modification of Configuration for Aircrafts mapped to other Maint. Operator codes?” as set under the entity type Aircraft Entry and the entity Aircraft in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master.

Process Parameter: Allow modification of Configuration for Aircrafts mapped to other Maint. Operator codes?
Value	Drop-down list box displays
1 for Allowed	The maintenance operators in the Active status as defined in the Common Master.
0 for Not Allowed	The maintenance operators in the Active status mapped to the planner group associated with the login user.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

Aircraft Reg #	The registration number of the aircraft.
Manufacturer Serial #	The serial number of the original equipment manufacturer.
Aircraft Model #	The aircraft model number to which the aircraft is associated.
Configuration Class	The configuration class to which the aircraft model is associated.
Maint. Operator #	The airline operator associated with the aircraft.

Note: The following fields will appear blank for aircraft configurations that are in “Cancelled” status.

Config. Status	The status of the aircraft configuration, which could be “Fresh” or “Active”.
Revision #	The revision number of the configuration class.
Assembly Status	Indicates whether component is attached to the position code. The system displays either one of the following:
	"Complete" - Indicates that all the active position codes with “Component Mandatory” set as “Yes”, have components attached to them.
	"Dormant" - Indicates that only some active position codes with “Component Mandatory” set as “Yes”, have components attached to them.
	“Error” - Indicates that the component attached to any one of the active position codes across all levels in the configuration, is not the intended component.

Click the hyperlinked aircraft number in the multiline, to modify the aircraft details.

Selecting aircraft for entering configuration details – An overview

This page allows you to select an aircraft to add or modify its configuration details. If you know the aircraft registration number for which the configuration details have to be entered, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the aircraft registration number, aircraft model, or the configuration class. The details of the selected aircraft, such as its registration number, manufacturer serial number, model number to which the aircraft belongs, configuration class, its status and the revision number are displayed.
