Using Online Help

This section enables you to map a section to a position in the aircraft.

The “Map Cabin Configuration” page appears.

The system displays the following fields:

Aircraft Model #

The model to which the aircraft is associated.

Configuration Class

The configuration class to which the aircraft model is associated.

Customer

The customer to which the aircraft belongs.

Cabin Item

Use the drop-down list box to specify the item for which position is to be mapped. The system lists all the values as defined in the “Cabin Equipment” tab in the “Manage Cabin Layout” page of the current business component.

By default the system leaves this field blank.

The system displays the following fields in the “Cabin Details” group box:

Item Description

A brief textual description of the item.

Config. Tracked?

Indicates whether the given item is to be tracked in the configuration of the aircraft.

The system displays the following fields in the “Cabin Details” multiline            :

Cabin Section #

The number identifying the section in the cabin.

Section Description

A brief textual description of the section.

Deck

Indicates the deck in which the section for which mapping is to be done, which could be main or upper.

Note that the system displays “Main” by default in this page if “No” is set in the field “Double Deck” for the given Aircraft Model #-Configuration Class combinations.

Cabin Position #

The code identifying the position in the section in the cabin which you wish to map. The drop-down list box displays the non-seat identifiers defined in the Manage Cabin Configuration page and cabin position numbers derived from  all the Seat Sections based on Starting Row #, Ending Row # & Column Layout

Configuration Level Code

The Level Code (from Model Configuration) for the part that has to be mapped to the current Cabin Position #.

Leave this field blank if “Yes” is selected as the “New Position?”

Ensure the following if “No” is selected as the “New Position?”

·         The value entered in this field is valid

·         The value entered in this field has “Cabin” as its “Position Type.”

Configuration Position Code

The Position Code (from Model Configuration) for the part that has to be mapped to the current Cabin Position #. Data entry in this field is mandatory if “Yes” is selected as the “New Position?”Data entry in this field is mandatory if “Yes” is selected as the “New Position?”

Note: If Configuration Level Code is specified, system will automatically fetch the Configuration Position code and vice versa.

Configuration Part #

The number identifying the part associated with the position code. Data entry in this field is mandatory if “Yes” is selected as the “New Position?”

Leave this field blank if “No” is selected as the “New Position”.

New Position?

Indicates whether the part or item is a new position.

The system displays “No” by default in this field.

Standard Part #

The number identifying parts for which configuration is not tracked.

Note that the system allows modifications to the value entered in this field if only if “Yes” is specified as “Applicable?”

Applicable?

Indicates whether the part in the given position is available. You can select from the options “Yes” or “No”.

The system displays “No” by default in this field.

Equipment Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the equipment that can be attached to the cabin position #. The drop-down list box displays the Active equipment categories defined in the “Maintain Cabin Equipment List” activity.
