Click the hyperlinked work scope number in the multiline to modify the work scope.
Enter the following fields below the multiine:
Create CWO |
Check this box to create the component work order for the work scope. This box appears checked by default. |
Note: Ensure that the required access rights are available, to release the work scope for the given work center.
The system performs the following if you have checked the “Create CWO” checkbox:
Creates a component work order in the “Fresh” status on the work center, with the work scope as reference.
The maintenance hierarchy for the Component Work Order being created will be considered as Retire – Overhaul – Repair – Inspection , if the work scope has work units with multiple maintenance types
Changes status of the work units from “Pending Processing” to “Processed”.
If the work scope has more than one maintenance type to be executed, then it creates a component work order for each maintenance type.
If the work unit type is “Standard Work Package” in the workscope, then the system creates a component work order for each standard procedure.
The source document number and the source document type is stored in the “Component Work Order” business component.
Copies the “Customer Order #”, “Expense Type” and “CAPEX Proposal #” identified for the work scope to the generated component work order.
Click the “Release Work Scope” pushbutton to release the work scope.
Note: The system ensures that active work scope group is defined for the work scope selected in the multiline.
Note: The system ensures that the selected work scope has a valid CAPEX proposal number if the expense type is “Capital”.
For work scopes that are customer based, the system updates the stock status for the part based on the following conditions:
Updates the preferred stock status identified for the customer order from the “Customer Order” business component, if the “Restriction Type” for part is set as “Include”.
Updates the internal stock status mapped to the preferred stock status from the “User Defined Stock Status” business component, if the “Restriction Type” is set as “Exclude” in the “Customer Order” business component.
Note: If the work scope does not have any reference to the customer order and if the job type of the component work order created is “Component”, the system updates the preferred stock status identified for the component ID from the “Aircraft” business component.
If the "Create Work Order" box is not checked, the system changes the status change of the selected work scope in the multiline, to "Released".
If the “Create Work Order” is checked, the system performs the following on clicking the “Release Work Scope” pushbutton:
Sets the work scope priority and work scope category as CWO priority and CWO category respectively. The system also sets “Required Date” of the work scope as the “Planned Start Date” and “Work Scope Type” as “CWO Type”.
Copies the start date and end date from the “Capacity Planning” business component, as the CWO start date and CWO end date. If there exists no start date and end date defined in the “Capacity Planning” business component, the system copies the work scope schedule date as the CWO start date and computes the planned end date as the sum of the planned start date and the estimated elapsed time of the task.
Sets the “Maintenance Type” of the CWO as "Others" if the maintenance type of the work units is "Retire" on the main component, and sets the specified work center for work units in the mutline ( Task, SP & WP), as the 'Workcenter #' for CWO.
Copies the description of the selected standard procedure into the description of the created CWO, if the selected work unit type is “Standard Procedure”. If the selected work unit type is other than “Standard Procedure”, the system copies the details present in the "Comments" field of the workscope to the description of the created CWO.
Includes work units with maintenance type “Retire”, in the component work order created on the parent component, if the work scope contains work units of the parent component. If the work unit is on the child component in the main component assembly , the system retrieves the immediate parent of the child component from the “Configuration” business component and creates a component work order on the immediate parent with the work units of the child component, whose maintenance type is “Retire”.
Creates a work order on a component, with maintenance type as “Retire”, if the component is not in the configuration of the main component on which the work scope is created.
If a 'retired' work unit of a child component having “CoM Reqd?” set as “Yes”, is added to the CWO of its immediate parent or main component, the system ensures that “CoM Reqd” of the CWO is set as “Yes”, irrespective of the CoM status of the other work units available for the component.
Sets the “Main Core Issue” field as “Required” in the generated CWO, if:
a) The component work order is the first generated CWO on the component in the work scope.
b) There is no CWO in “Fresh”, “Scheduled”, “In-Progress” or “Completed” status on the component with the “Main Core Issue” as “Required”, irrespective of whether the CWO work order is created from the work scope or directly.
Includes work units of the child components listed in the “Removal List”, as part of the CWO generated on the main component and automatically sets the maintenance type as "Repair".
Set the job type of the generated CWO as "Component", if the component is not referred in any "Object Type" in the “Aircraft” business component. Otherwise, the system sets the job type as per the mapping for object type in the “Aircraft” business component.
Note: If the main component ID on which the work order is raised has the possession status as "PBH", then the system ensures that the part estimated, or any of its higher assemblies, is covered in the PBH list of the supplier. If the estimated part or any of its higher assemblies is in the PBH list, then the system sets the stock status for those parts as "PBH".
Copies the source document number, work scope number and source document type on to the corresponding generated CWO, when the source document type specified in the selected work unit is “Engineering Order” or “Fleet Campaign Directive” .
Note: The system does not allow release of customer order based work scopes, if any work units that are pending from customer authorization (i.e work units with “Approval of Additional Work Unit” field set as either “Required” or “As Required” in the “Customer Order” business component), are added to it.
Ascertains the part requirement for tasks to be executed for the component work order .However, if the Need Frequency attribute of a part for a task is set to “As Required” in the Maintenance Task component, the system does not include the requirement information for the part in the newly generated component work order.
At the time of work scope release, if you have checked the “Create CWO” checkbox, the system performs the following:
Updates the status of a task to "Processed" on creation of the work order. When the system is unable to create a work order, the status of the task is set to “Pending Processing".
Click the “Cancel Work Scope” pushbutton to cancel the work scope.
Note: You cannot cancel a customer order based work scope.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Edit Work Scope” link at the bottom of the page to edit the work scope details before releasing the work scope.
Select the “Manage Work Scope” link at the bottom of the page to process the work scope details.
Select the “Schedule/Reschedule Work Orders” link at the bottom of the page to schedule or reschedule component work orders.
