Processing Re - forecast
This page helps you process the re-forecast details for the component. Tell me more.
Select the "Process Re-forecast" link at the bottom of the “Select Forecast” page.
The "Process Re-forecast" page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. If the format is not defined, the system will display the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the "Planner Group Details" group box:
Planner Group # |
The number identifying the planner group which created the forecast for the component |
Description |
The textual description of the planner group |
The system displays the following fields in the "Assigned Document Details" group box:
Work Scope # |
The number of the work scope that is associated with the forecast |
Work Scope Category |
The user-defined category to which the work scope belongs. |
Execution Unit |
The execution unit in which the work scope will be executed |
Primary Work Center # |
The number identifying the primary work center in which the work scope will be executed |
Status |
The status of the work scope which could be "Fresh" or "Released" |
Priority |
The priority assigned to the work scope |
The system displays the following fields in the “Re-forecasted Work Unit Details” multiline:
Note: The system displays the details of the work units whose schedules got changed because of the forecast and assigned to the work scope displayed in the “Assigned Document Details” group box.
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the re-forecasting is done |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component for which the re-forecasting is done |
Maintenance Type |
The type of maintenance work to be carried out on the component |
Work Unit Type |
The type of the work unit that must be performed on the component The system displays one of the options: "Comp. Work Package", "Standard Package" or "Task". |
Work Unit # |
The number of the work unit that must be performed on the component |
Re-Forecast Impact |
Indicates whether the work unit is scheduled earlier or later due to the re-forecast |
Schedule Date |
The scheduled date on which the work unit must be performed |
Last Performed Date |
The date on which the work unit was last performed |
Job Type |
The job type of the work unit which could be “Component Removal”, “Aircraft” or “On Wing” |
Opport. Maint.? |
Indicates whether the work unit pertains to the opportunity maintenance performed on the component or not |
Job Status |
The status of the work unit, which could be “Pending” or "Allocated” |
Component # |
The number identifying the component for which the forecasting is done |
Work Center # |
The number identifying the work center in which the work unit will be performed |
Work Unit Desc |
The textual description of the work unit |

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the work unit for processing.
Enter the following field:
Select All |
Check this box to select all the work units listed in the multiline for processing. |
Change Allocations
Click the "Change Allocations" pushbutton to accept the allocations caused by the forecast.
The system performs the following on clicking the "Change Allocations" pushbutton:
Changes the scheduled date to the re-forecasted scheduled date for the selected work units. This date is stored along with the workscope.
Updates the earliest scheduled date, latest scheduled date, alert date (if available) for the selected workunits.
Ascertains the required date of the work scope. This date is the earliest of the latest scheduled dates for the workunits which have been selected and the latest scheduled dates for the workunits which are already associated with the workscope. If the latest scheduled date is not available, then the scheduled date is taken as the required date.
Cancel Allocations
Click the "Cancel Allocations" pushbutton to cancel the allocations made to the forecast.
Note: Ensure that the selected work unit is not already a part of a component work order. If the selected work unit is a procedure or a work package, then ensure that no single task is a part of the component work order.
The system performs the following on clicking the "Cancel Allocations" pushbutton:
Changes the status of the selected work unit in the workscope to "Cancelled" and removes the work unit from the work scope
Changes the job status of the work unit to "Pending" in the pending work units list for the component forecast
Ignore Re - forecast Impact
Click the "Ignore Impact" pushbutton to ignore the impact caused by the re-forecast.
The system performs the following on clicking the "Ignore Impact" pushbutton:
Removes the selected work units from the re-forecast
Processing Re - forecast - An overview
This page helps you process the re-forecast details for the component. The system displays the re-forecast details for the forecast selected in the previous page along with the work scope details.
Re-forecasted Work Unit Details
The system retrieves the details of the work units assigned to the work scope whose schedules got changed because of the forecast. The following details are displayed:
The part number for which the re-forecasting is done
The serial number of the component for which the re-forecasting is done
The type of maintenance work to be carried out on the component
The type of the work unit which could be “Work Unit”, “Task” or “Work Package”
The number identifying the work unit
The re-forecast impact which indicates whether the work unit execution is scheduled earlier or later
The date on which the work unit execution is scheduled
The date on which the work unit was last performed
The job type of the work unit
Whether the work unit pertains to the opportunity maintenance to be carried out on the component
The job status of the work unit which could be “Pending” or “allocated”.
The component number for which the forecast is modified.
The work center in which the work unit will be performed
The textual description of the work unit
The textual description of the part
Change Allocations
You can accept the changes made to the allocations done in the forecast. The system changes the scheduled dates and ascertains the required date of the work scope. For more details, refer to the section “Change Allocations”.
Cancel Allocations
The allocations made to the forecast through the re-forecasting can be canceled in this page. The system sets the status of the work units as “Canceled” and removes them from the work scope. Only the work units that are not referred to in any component work order can be canceled
Ignore Impact
Ignoring impact refers to the removal of work units affected by re-forecast from the forecast.
