This page allows you to associate the planning objects with the planner group. Tell me more.

The "Map Planning Objects" page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the "Planner Group Details" group box:

Planner Group

The number identifying the planner group with which you wish to associate the planning objects

The status of the planner group must be "Active".

Description

The textual description of the planning object

Planning Object Type

The type of the planning object which could be "Part #", "ATA #", "Component #" or "Component Family". This is retrieved from the option set in the "Set Options" activity. The system displays "ALL" if no planning object is associated with the planner group.

Planner Category

The category to which the planner group belongs.

Planning Object #

The number identifying the planning object that must be associated with the planner group (Alphanumeric, 90)

  • This number can be the number of any one of the planning object types such as

  • Part # - Ensure that the part number is already defined in the "Create Part Main Information" activity of the "Part Administration" business component and is in the "Active" status.

  • ATA # - Ensure that the ATA chapter number is already defined in the "Create ATA Chapters" activity of the "Aircraft" business component and is in the "Active" status.

  • Component # - Ensure that the part number is already defined in the "Create Component ID Information" activity of the "Aircraft" business component and is in the "Active" status. The condition of the component should not be "Phased Out" in the "Aircraft" business component.

  • Component Family # - Ensure that the part number is already defined in the "Create Component Family" activity of the "Aircraft" business component and is in the "Active" status.

The planning object number should be unique to the multiline.

Note: You cannot modify the planning object number that is already associated with the planner group.

Also ensure that the planning object is not associated with any other planning group.

The system displays the following:

Remarks

Any remark pertaining to the association of the planning object with the planning group (Alphanumeric, 255)

If a planning object has pending work units, then such an object cannot be unmapped from its planner group.

This page allows you to associate the planning objects with the planner group.

In the component maintenance planning, the maintenance forecast for the components is defined. This is done based on the planner group. The planner group is a set of people responsible for planning maintenance activities on parts, components, ATA chapters or component families. The planning objects indicate the objects for which the maintenance forecast is to be generated.

You can associate the planning objects of the following types with the planner group in this page:

Based on the option selected for Planner group basis, various planning objects are identified and associated to the planner group.

The planner group takes care of the planning to be done for all the planning objects associated with them. You can enter the planning object number and any remarks or comments pertaining to the planning object association.
