Selecting aircraft for assigning maintenance work
In this page, you can select an aircraft for assigning components to the visit package. Tell me more.
Select the “Allocate Components to Aircraft Visit Package” link under the “Component Maintenance Planning” business component.
The “Select Aircraft” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. If the format is not defined, the system will display the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the aircraft for which you wish to allocate components to the visit package:

The number identifying the aircraft for which the maintenance work is to be allocated (Alphanumeric, 30) |
Select the “Allocate Components to Visit Package” link provided alongside to allocate components to the visit package.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for an aircraft: (Data entry in these fields is optional.)
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30) You can enter the aircraft registration number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the aircraft with registration numbers, which are similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to search for all the aircrafts defined in the system. |
Aircraft Model # |
The model to which the aircraft belongs (Alphanumeric, 20) You can enter the aircraft model number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the aircraft associated with the aircraft model specified here. Leave this field blank to search for the aircraft, irrespective of the aircraft model. |
Date Basis |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of date based on which the pending work units are retrieved by the system. The system provides the options, “Earliest Compliance Date”, “Scheduled Date”, “Latest Compliance Date” and “Alert Date”. Leave this field blank to search for the work units irrespective of its compliance, scheduled or alert dates. The system sets this field blank by default. |
Date from |
The starting date of the date type selected in the “Date Basis” field, from which you need to retrieve the work units (Date Format) The system retrieves all the work units from the date that is similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search the work units, irrespective of the starting date. |
Date to |
The ending date of the date type selected in the “Date Basis” till which you need to retrieve the work units (Date Format) The system searches for all the work units till the date that is similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search for work units, irrespective of the ending date. |
Planning Base |
Use the drop-down list box to select the organization unit that owns the aircraft. The system sets the field blank by default. The system retrieves all the aircraft that are associated with the planning base specified here. Leave this field blank to search for all the aircraft, irrespective of the planning base. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to search for the work units and aircraft, based on the search criteria.
Note: Leave all the fields blank, to search for all the work units and aircraft defined in the system.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Planning Base |
The organization unit with which the aircraft is associated. |

Selecting aircraft for allocating maintenance work – An overview
In this page, you can select an aircraft for allocating components to the visit package. If you know the aircraft registration number, you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the aircraft registration number, the aircraft model number, the date basis, the starting and ending dates of the forecast, and the planning base. The system retrieves the search results in the multiline.
