Creating planner group
In this page you can create a planner group. Tell me more.
Select the "Create Planner Group" link under the "Component Maintenance Planning" business component.
The "Create Planner Group" page appears.
Enter the following fields in the "Planner Group Details" group box:

A unique number identifying the planner group (Alphanumeric, 25) Mandatory |

The textual description of the planner group (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Planner Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user-defined category to which the planner belongs. The system lists all the 'Active' planner categories created in the "Create Quick Codes" activity. |

Any user-defined detail regarding planner group (Alphanumeric, 30) |
Planner Group Basis |
Use the drop-down list box to select the basis for the planner group being created. The system displays the following options:
This field is set to “Generic” by default. |
Maint. Operator # |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the Maintenance Operator number of the planner group. The system lists all the ‘active’ Maintenance Operator # defined in the “Create Airline Operator” activity of the “Common Master” business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Any remark or comment regarding planner group (Alphanumeric, 255) |
Enter the following field in the "Copy Details" group box to copy the details of an existing planner group:
Planner Group |
A unique number identifying the planner group (Alphanumeric, 25). Ensure that the planner group is already defined in the login organization unit. Help facility available. |
Check the following:

Check this box to copy all the details of the planner group. |
User Details |
Check this box to copy only the user or employee details of the planner group. |
Planning Object |
Check this box to copy only the planning object details of the planner group. The planning object details with the associated aircraft details are copied. |
Note: Ensure that at least one of the above three boxes is checked, if you have entered the planner group.
Enter the following fields in the "User Details" multiline:
User Name |
The user name of the person whom you wish to associate with the planner group (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. Ensure that the user name is already defined in the “HR Setup” business component. Also ensure that the user is associated with an employee who is in the "Current" status. The user name must be unique to the multiline. |
The system displays the following fields:

Enter the following field:
Remarks |
Any remark regarding the association of an employee with the planner group (Alphanumeric, 255) |
Note: Ensure that atleast one record is entered in the multiline if you have not selected any options in the "Copy Details" group box.
Check the box in the "Select" column of the multiline to select the username to be deleted.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the selected username.
Click the "Create Planner Group" pushbutton to create the planner group.
The system creates the planner group and sets the status as "Active".
Note: Before creating a planner group, ensure that you have mapped a planning object in the “Set Options” activity for the current login organization unit.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the "Associate Planning Objects" link at the bottom of the page to associate planning objects with the planner group
Select the "Associate Aircrafts" link at the bottom of the page to associate aircrafts with the planner group

This page allows you to create a planner group. The planner group is a group responsible for component maintenance planning. It contains a set of people who plan the maintenance activities to be carried out on a set of the following:
ATA chapter numbers
Part numbers
Components
Component families
Based on the selection in ‘Planner Group Basis’, such as aircraft, inventory, aircraft & inventory, and generic, the components are identified for the particular planner group and responsible for all maintenance planning activities.
In this page you can enter a unique code and description for the planner group and create it. You can specify the planner category also. You can enter the user name of the employee whom you would like to include in the planner group. You can also enter any comment regarding the creation of the planner group.
Copy Planner Group details
You are also provided with the facility of copying details from an existing planner group. You must enter the planner group number and choose to copy all the details or only the user details or the planning details of the planner group.

You can associate members to the planner group who will be responsible for carrying out the maintenance activities on the planning objects.
Enter the user name of the employee in the “User Name” field.
Enter remarks regarding the user association in the “Remarks” field.
