Entering facility type resource requirement for work package

This page allows you to add or modify the details of resources of the “Equipment” or “Tools” type required for executing the work package. Tell me more.

Select the “Estimate Resources – Facilities” link at the bottom of the “Create Work Package” or “Edit Work Package” page.

The “Estimate Resource – Facilities Requirement” page appears.

The system displays the following in the “Work Package Details” group box:

Work Package #	The number identifying the work package selected for which the facility type resource details must be specified.
Work Package Description	The textual description of the work package.
Primary Work Center #	The number identifying the work center where the work package has to be performed.
Work Center Desc	The textual description of the work center.

Note: On launching the page, the system displays the facility type resource requirement that have already been defined for the work package.

Enter the following in the “Resource Details” multiline:

Resource #	The resource required for completing the work package (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The resource must have already been defined in the “Work Center“ business component and must be unique to the multiline.
	Help facility available.
Resource Type	Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the resource. The options available are “Tools”, ”Equipment” and “Others”.

Note: In the event of modifying an already associated resource number and type, the system displays an error message. Also, to delete an existing resource number, check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline and click the Delete icon.

The system fills in the following field after you click the “Edit Resource Estimates” pushbutton:

Resource Description

The textual description of the resource

Enter the following:

Time Unit	Use the drop-down list box to specify the unit of measurement of the resource time, which could be “Hours”, “Days” or “Minutes”. The system sets the field as “Hours” by default.
Reqd. Duration	The number of hours, minutes or days the resource is required to complete the work package (Integer). Ensure that the number entered in this field is positive.
Reqd. Qty	The number of resources required for completing the work package (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the number entered in this field is positive.

The system displays the following field when you click the “Edit Resource Estimates” pushbutton:

Resource Cost

The cost of the resource as defined in the “Work Center“ business component.

Note: Ensure that at least one resource detail is entered in the multiline.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the resource for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the selected resource.
Select the “Edit Resource Estimates” pushbutton to update the resource details for the work package.

Note: The system calculates the resource cost for the quantity and the duration specified for the resource in the multiline.

Note: The system updates the “Last Modified By” and “Last Modified Date” of the Work Package # with the login User and the current server date respectively.

Entering facility type resource requirement for work package

This page allows you to add or modify the details of resources of the “Equipment” or “Tools” type required for executing the work package. The details such as resource code, type, required duration and the number of resources required can be specified against each resource type. The system updates the resource details and stores the name of the currently logged in user and the current server date.
