Help on visit package
The visit package is an aggregation of all the maintenance activities that needs to be accomplished during the visit of an aircraft by the maintenance execution facility.
This Help page allows you to search and select a visit package and transfer the same to the field in which it is required.
You can carry out the search using the aircraft number, visit category, visit package, primary work center and a range of grounding dates of the aircraft. The system retrieves all the visit packages based on the search criteria entered. The selected visit package is transferred to the required page, when it is confirmed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Visit Package #” field in the main page.
The “Help On Visit Package” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed, in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a visit package:
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft for which the visit package is applicable (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the visit packages, which are associated with the aircraft specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the aircraft to which they are attached. |
Visit Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the visit package. The system lists all the “Active” visit categories defined in the “Create Visit Category” activity of the current business component. The system sets the field blank by default. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the category. |
Visit Package # |
The number identifying the visit package (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages that are similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to search for all the visit packages. |
Primary Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the place of maintenance execution to which the visit package is associated. The system lists all the work centers that are associated with the login organization unit and where the “Visit Package” business component is deployed. The system sets the field blank by default. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the primary work centers. |
Grounding: Date From |
The starting date, in a range of grounding dates of the aircraft, from which you need to retrieve the visit packages (Date Format). The system retrieves all the visit packages whose grounding date is greater than or equal to the date entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the starting grounding date. |
Grounding: Date To |
The ending date, in a range of grounding dates of the aircraft, till which you need to retrieve the visit packages (Date Format). The system retrieves all the visit packages whose grounding date is lesser than or equal to the date entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the ending grounding date. |
Note: If both the date fields are entered, the ending grounding date should be later than or same as the starting grounding date.
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer, who owns the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the customer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages created for the customer number entered here. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer owning the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the customer name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages created for the customer name entered here. |
Note: The “Customer #” and “Customer Name” fields are applicable only when the aircraft is not self-owned and the customer details are recorded in the system.
Note: Leave all the fields blank, to retrieve all the visit packages that are in the “Closed” status. If this page is invoked from the “Create Visit Package” page, the system retrieves the “Closed” or “Released” visit packages.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to search for the visit packages.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

The visit package retrieved by the system. |
Status |
The status of the visit package. |
Revision # |
The latest revision number of the visit package. |
Title |
The textual description of the visit package. |
Visit Category |
The category to which the visit package belongs. |
Grounding Date |
The grounding date of the aircraft for executing the visit package. |
Planned End Date |
The planned date of completion of the visit package. |
Primary Work Center |
The work center where the maintenance activity, listed in the visit package, is executed. |
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer, who owns the aircraft. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer owning the aircraft. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select a visit package.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
