Specifying Additional Search criteria
Select the “Additional Search Criteria” tab in the “Maintain Discrepancy Information” page.
Enter any or all of the following to find the discrepancies you want to update.
Hold Item # |
The hold item number of the discrepancy. (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the discrepancies recorded in the log leaf you specify here. |
Applicability |
Use the drop-down list box to select the applicability of the discrepancy. The system provides the following options “Aircraft”, “Engine” and “Component”. Leave this field blank to retrieve to all the discrepancies, irrespective of its applicability. |
Deferral Item # |
The deferral item number of the discrepancy, if it is a deferred discrepancy. The drop-down list box displays MEL, CDL and all those Active deferral types defined in the Configure Document Attributes of the Common Masters component that have "Attribute" set to "Yes" (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the discrepancies as reported for the ATA chapter entered here. |
Deferral Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the deferral type of the discrepancy, if it is deferred. The drop-down list displays the following:
The system retrieves all deferred discrepancies with the deferring type that you specify here. |
Reported Date From/To |
The start-date and the end-date of the period during which the discrepancy was reported/recorded. The system retrieves all discrepancies reported during the period beginning from the “Reported Date From” to the “Reported Date To”. |
Closed Date From/To |
Specify the start-date and the end-date of the period during which the discrepancy was closed. The system retrieves all discrepancies closed during the period beginning the Closed Date From to the Closed Date To. |
Source Doc # |
The document in which the discrepancy was reported (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the discrepancies that originate from the source doc you specify here. |
Source Doc Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the source document of the discrepancy. The type of the document in which the discrepancy was recorded. The system displays the following values: Journey Log, A/C Exec. Ref #, Manual, Occurrence Report, Repair Order and Shop Work Order #. The system retrieves all those discrepancies that emanate from source documents of the type you select here. To retrieve discrepancies associated with all documents regardless of source document type, do not select any value in the drop-down list box. |
Repeat |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate if the discrepancy is frequent in nature. The drop-down list box displays the “Yes” and “No”. The system retrieves all those discrepancies that have the Repeat attribute set to the value that you select here. |
Reporting Station |
The station in which the discrepancy was reported (Alphanumeric, 256). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the discrepancies reported at the station you specify here. |
