Analyzing the impact of re-forecasting work units
This page allows you to analyze the impact of re-forecasting work units in the selected visit package. Tell me more
Select the “Process Re-Forecast” link in the “Select Visit Package” page.
The “Process ReForecast” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Aircraft Details” group box:

The model number to which the aircraft belongs |
The system displays the following in the “Visit Package Details” group box:

The code identifying the visit package selected in the previous page |
Visit Category |
The category of the visit package |

The status of the visit package which could be “Fresh”, “Confirmed”, “Revised”, “Released” or “Partially Released” |
Execution Unit |
The organization unit in which the visit package is executed |
Grounding Date |
The date on which the aircraft is grounded for maintenance activity. This is the start date of the visit package. |
Revision # |
The latest revision number of the visit package |
Priority |
The priority that indicates the urgency with which the visit package must be executed |
Visit Type |
The type to which the visit package belongs |
The system displays the following fields in the “Work Scope Details” multiline:
Work Unit# |
The work unit, which is a part of the selected visit package |
Work Unit Type |
The type of the work unit, which could be “Task”, “Standard. Procedure” or “Work Package” |
Re-Forecast Impact |
The re-forecast impact of the work unit which will be 'Date Modified' or 'Canceled'. |
Schedule Date |
The scheduled date for the execution of the work unit after re-forecasting |
Latest Compliance Date |
The date beyond which the execution of the work unit cannot be postponed after re-forecasting |
Maintenance Type |
The type of the maintenance work, such as overhaul, repair, inspection, and others, to be performed on a component. |
Part # |
The part number of the component on which the maintenance activity is performed |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component on which the maintenance activity is performed |
Component # |
The code identifying the component on which the maintenance is performed |
Work Unit Desc. |
The textual description of the work unit |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the work units to cancel, ignore or revise their allocations.
Cancel the allocation of work unit
Click the “Cancel Allocations” pushbutton, to cancel the selected work units from the visit package.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.
If the “Aircraft Workscope: Allocation Revision Method” or the “Component Workscope: Allocation Revision Method” is set as “Direct” in the “Set Options” activity, the system deletes the selected work units and their related information such as the material, resource and relationship details from the visit package. If the option is “Modification Log”, it records the cancellation information in the modification log.
However, you cannot remove a work unit, which is a part of a work order or if the job type of the work unit is “Component Removal” and the removal work order for that component is already created.
Ignore the impact of re-forecasting
Click the “Ignore” pushbutton, to ignore the impact of re-forecasting, if it does not impact the visit plan.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.
The system removes the selected work unit line item from the reforecast log.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Revise Allocations” link at the bottom of the page, to modify the details of the visit package.

Cancel work units in a visit package
You can cancel a work unit that is already allocated to a visit package, if there is an impact due to re-forecasting. However, the work unit must not be a part of any work order, or a material request should have been raised for the work unit.
Select the work unit(s) to be canceled, in the “Work Scope Details” multiline.
Click the ”Cancel Allocations” pushbutton, to cancel the selected work units from the visit package.
Ignore the impact of re-forecasting
You can ignore the impact of re-forecasting, if it does not impact the visit plan.
Select the work unit(s) to be ignored, in the “Work Scope Details” multiline.
Click the ”Ignore” pushbutton, to ignore the impact of the re-forecast.
Analyzing the impact of re-forecasting work units - An Overview
This page allows you to analyze the impact of re-forecasting work units in the selected visit package. All the work units, which are a part of a selected visit package and which have been impacted by the re-forecast are displayed. You can cancel the allocation of work units or revise the allocations, if there is an impact on the visit plan due to re-forecast. On cancellation,the work units and all their related information such as the material, resource and relationship details are removed from the visit package. However, you cannot remove a work unit, which is a part of a work order or for which material request is already raised.
This page also allows you to ignore the impact of re-forecasting, to declare that there is no impact on the visit plan due to the re-forecasting of workunits.
