Modifying reason category
This page allows you to modify the reason categories, which are already defined.
Select the “Edit Reason Category” link under the “Compliance Tracking & Control” business component.
The “Edit Reason Category Details” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “Reason Category Details” multiline:

The code that identifies the reason category |
Enter the following fields:
Description |
The textual description of the reason category (Alphanumeric, 80). Mandatory |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to change the status of the reason category. The system displays the options, “Active” and “Inactive”. |
Set the status as “Inactive” if you wish to disable this reason category from future reference in other activities. |
The system displays the following:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the reason category |
Created Date |
The date on which the reason category was created |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the reason category |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the reason category was last modified |
Click the "Edit Reason Category" pushbutton, at the bottom of the page to update the modified details.
Note: The system displays the name of the login user in the “Last Modified By” field. It sets the current server date as the “Last Modified Date”.
Activate or inactivate reason categories for deferral of work unit
Activate or inactivate reason categories for deferral of work unit
You can change the status of the reason categories from “Active” to “Inactive” or vice versa.
Set the “Status” as “Active”, if you wish to change the status to “Active”.
Set the status as “Inactive”, if you wish to change the status to “Inactive”.
Click the “Edit Reason Category” pushbutton, to change the status.
