Creating visit categories
This page allows the central planner to create visit category codes based on which visit packages can be categorized.
Select the “Create Visit Category” link under the “Compliance Tracking & Control” business component.
The “Create Visit Category” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Visit Category Details” multiline:

The unique code based on which visit packages can be categorized (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory. |
Note: If there are multiple installations of this component in different organizational units, the uniqueness of the visit category code will depend on the organizational model. Refer to the Systems Manual for more details.

The textual description of the visit category (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the visit categories for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected visit categories.
Click the "Create Visit Category" pushbutton at the bottom of the page, to create the visit categories.
The system performs the following:
Creates the visit categories and sets the status of the created visit categories as "Active”.
Updates the visit category as a quick code for the quick code type “Plan Item Group” in the “Visit Package” business component and for the quick code type “WO Category” in the “Hangar Work Order” business component.

You can create different visit categories by assigning a unique identifier and description to it. These are later used to classify the visit packages that you create or modify.
Enter the visit category number in the “Visit Category” field.
Enter the description for the visit category in the “Description” field.
Click the “Create Visit Category” pushbutton, to create the visit category.
