Mapping part types to a buyer group
This page allows you to map part types to a buyer group. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Part Type Mapping” link in the “Create Buyer Group” page.
The “Edit Part Type Mapping” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Buyer Group” group box:

The system displays the following field in the “Map Route” multiline:
Part Type |
The part type that can be procured by a buyer group. The system displays all the valid part types that are already defined in the “Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. |
Enter the following:

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether to map the part type to the buyer group or not. The system displays the options, “Yes” and “No”. Select “Yes”, if you wish to map the part type to the selected buyer group. The system sets the field blank by default. Mandatory. |
Note: Ensure at least one part type is mapped to the buyer group.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the part type for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected part type.
Click the “Edit Part Type Mapping” pushbutton, to map the part type to the buyer group.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The name of the user who created the buyer group. |
Created Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the buyer group was created. |
Last Modified by |
The name of the user who last modified the buyer group. |
Last Modified Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the buyer group was last modified. |
Mapping part types to a buyer group – An overview
This page allows you to map part types to a buyer group. A buyer group can procure only those part types that are mapped to it. You can specify the buyer group for which you need to map the part types. The system displays the part types that are already defined in the “Part Administration” business component. You can select part types and map it to the specified buyer group.

You can map part types, which are already defined in the “Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component, to a buyer group. A buyer group can only procure those part types that are mapped to them.
Set the “Map ?” field in the multiline to “Yes”, if you wish to map the part type to the selected buyer group.
Set the “Map ?” field in the multiline to “No”, if you do not wish to map the part type to the selected buyer group.
Click the “Edit Part Type Mapping” pushbutton, to map the part types to the selected buyer group.
The system maps the selected part types to the buyer group.
