Viewing consumption and range parameters for a part
This page allows you to view the consumption and range parameters that have been defined for the part. Tell me more.
Select the “View Consumption & Range Parameters” link at the bottom of the “View Maintenance Info. For Part” or the “Select Part” page.
The “View Consumption & Range Parameters” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “Part Details” group box:
Part # |
The part for which you wish to view the consumption and range parameters. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the selected part. Zoom facility available. |
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:
Parameter |
The parameter associated to the part. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the parameter. |
Parameter Type |
The type of the parameter, which can be “Consumption” or “Range”. |
Life Parameter |
The system displays “Yes” if the consumption parameter has been identified as the life parameter. The life parameter is a consumption parameter that indicates the life of the part. |
Parameter Source |
The source from which the parameter must be updated. The source can be any one of the following: |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Range: From |
The number identifying the minimum value in the range of values for a range parameter. |
Range:To |
The number identifying the maximum value in the range of values for a range parameter. |
Average Daily Utilization |
The average daily utilization for a consumption parameter, based on which the forecast factor is calculated. |
Forecast Factor |
The multiplication factor, based on which the maintenance activity is forecasted for consumption parameter. |
Ultimate Life Value |
The value identifying the life of the part, if the consumption parameter has been identified as a life parameter. |
Formula # |
The formula specified for the consumption parameter based on which the parameter value is calculated. |
Formula Content |
The contents of the formula. |
Parameter Description |
The textual description of the parameter. |
Warranty Tracking |
Indicates, whether the warranty tracking for the parameter is “Applicable” or “Not Applicable”. |
Parameter Update |
Indicates, whether parameter update is “Mandatory” or “Non-Mandatory” each time when the parameter is updated for the component. |
Update Mode |
Indicates, the mode on which the parameter value has to be updated. The system lists the following option: |

Viewing consumption and range parameters for a part – An overview
Parameter details such as the parameter number, description, unit of measurement, parameter type and the source from which the parameter is updated are displayed. For range parameters the system displays the starting and the ending range values. If the parameter is a consumption parameter, the system indicates whether the parameter has been chosen as the life parameter or not. It also displays the average daily utilization, forecast factor or the formula ID that has been defined for the consumption parameter. If a formula is defined for the parameter, the formula content is displayed. Also the system displays whether the warranty tracking is applicable for the parameter, whether the updation of parameter value is mandatory when the parameter is updated for the component and the mode in which the parameter is to be updated.
