Viewing consumption and range parameter information of component family
This page allows you to view the consumption and range parameters that have been attached to the selected component family. Tell me more.
Select the “View Consumption & Range Parameters” link at the bottom of the main page.
The “View Consumption &Range Parameters” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Component Family Details” group box:
Component Family # |
The component family selected in the main page for which you wish to view the consumption and range parameters. |
Component Family Description |
The textual description of the component family. |
The system displays the following details in the “Parameter Details” multiline:
Parameter |
The parameter defined for the selected component family. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the parameter. |
Parameter Type |
The type of the parameter, which can be either ”Consumption” or “Range”. |
Life Parameter |
The system displays “Yes” if the consumption parameter has been identified as the life parameter. A life parameter is the consumption parameter that indicates the life of the equipment. |
Parameter Source |
The source from which the parameter value is updated. The source can be one of the following: |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Range: From |
The minimum value of the range parameter. |
Range : To |
The maximum value of the range parameter. |
Average Value |
The average value of the consumption parameter. |
Forecast Factor |
The multiplication factor based on which the maintenance activity is forecasted. |
Ultimate Life Value |
The value identifying the life of the component, if the consumption parameter has been selected as a life parameter. |
Formula # |
The formula specified for the consumption parameter. The parameter value is updated based on this formula, if the “Parameter Source” is set as “Calculated”. |
Formula Content |
The contents of the formula. |
Parameter Description |
The description of the parameter. |
Warranty Tracking |
Indicates, whether the warranty tracking for the parameter is “Applicable” or “Not Applicable”. |
Parameter Update |
Indicates, whether parameter updation is “Mandatory” or “Non-Mandatory” each time when the parameter is updated for the component. |
Update Mode |
Indicates, the mode on which the parameter value has to be updated. The system displays either one of the following: |

Viewing consumption and range parameter information of component family – An overview
The consumption and range parameter details of the component family can be viewed in this page. Details of the component family such as its number and description are displayed along with the details of the parameters. For consumption parameters the system displays the parameter, its description, the unit of measurement, the type of parameter, the parameter source from which the parameter must be updated, the average value, the forecast factor, the formula-id and the formula content. If the consumption parameter has been defined as the life parameter, then the ultimate life of the component is also displayed. For range parameters, the system displays the parameter, its description, the unit of measurement, parameter source from which the parameter is updated and the maximum and minimum values of the range.
The system also indicates whether warranty tracking is applicable for parameter, whether the parameter has to be updated from the delta value or constant value and whether the parameter value updation is mandatory for the parameter.
