Defining technical and attribute parameters for aircraft model

Defining technical and attribute parameters for aircraft model - An overview

What you can do in this page

Unified Glossary

Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

The “Edit Technical & Attribute Parameters” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Aircraft Model #

The aircraft model selected in the main page for which the technical and attribute parameters are to be added or modified.

Model Description

The textual description of the model.

The system lists the parameters that have already been defined for the aircraft model in the “Parameter Details” multiline.

Parameter

The parameter to be attached to the aircraft model (Alphanumeric, 40). Ensure that the parameter is already defined in the “Create Parameters” activity and is of type “Technical” or “Attribute”. The parameter number should be unique in the multiline.

Help facility available.

The system displays the following in the multiline on clicking the “Edit Parameters” pushbutton:

UOM

The unit of measurement of the parameter. The system leaves the field blank if you have entered an attribute parameter.

Parameter Type

The type of the parameter, which can be “Technical” or “Attribute”.

Parameter Source

Use the drop-down list box to select the parameter source from which the value of the attribute parameter must be updated. The system provides the options “Flight Log”, “Manual” and  “Calculated”. Leave the field blank for a technical parameter.

  • Flight Log - indicates that the parameter value has to be updated from the flight log.

  • Manual - indicates that the parameter value has to be updated manually.

  • Calculated - indicates that the parameter value is updated based on the formula associated to the parameter. This formula will contain mathematical operations to be performed on other related parameters. When the participating parameters are updated, the formula based parameter is automatically updated.

Value

The value of the attribute parameter (Alphanumeric, 32). Data entry in this field is mandatory if the parameter is an attribute parameter.

Help facility available.

The system displays the following field on clicking the "Edit Parameters” pushbutton.

Parameter Description

The textual description of the parameter.

Note: The system attaches the technical and attribute parameters to the selected aircraft model and to the aircraft belonging to the aircraft model. It also fills in the “UOM”, “Parameter Type” and “Parameter Description” fields in the multiline.

Defining technical and attribute parameters for aircraft model – An overview

Edit aircraft model - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to attach technical and attribute parameters, or modify the technical and attribute parameters that have already been defined, for the selected aircraft model. You can attach parameters by entering the parameter directly, or by selecting a parameter using the help facility.

In the case of attribute parameters, the parameter source has to be specified to indicate the source from which the parameter value must be updated. You can specify the value of the attribute parameter by entering the value directly or by selecting a value using the help facility.

You can also modify the details of the attribute parameters that have already been defined for the aircraft model.
