This activity helps you to associate a customer with an existing customer account group.
Select “Associate Customers” link under the “Account Group” business component or select the “Associate Customers” link in the “Maintain Customer Account Group” page.
The “Associate Customers” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Customer # |
A unique number identifying the customer (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter this code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the customers whose codes are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search for all customers irrespective of the customer number. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the customers whose names are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search for all customers irrespective of the customer names. |
Customer Account Group |
A unique code identifying the customer account group. (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter this code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the customer account groups whose codes are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search for all customer account groups irrespective of the group names. |
Account Group Description |
The textual description of the customer account group (Alphanumeric, 100). |
Associated |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the association of the customer account group with the customer. The system displays the options “Yes” and “No” or leaves the field blank. The system leaves this field blank, by default. Leave this field blank to search for customers irrespective of the customer account groups with which they may be associated. |
Reference Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the customer account groups to be searched. The system displays the options “Under Creation”, “Active”, “Inactive” and “Hold” or leaves the field blank. The system leaves this field blank, by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline
Customer # |
A unique number identifying the customer. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer. |
Reference Status |
The status of the customer account group with which the customer is associated. The status can be either “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Modify the following, if necessary:
Customer Account Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the customer account group with which you want to associate the customer. The system lists all the customer account groups that are in the “Active” status. It also lists the account groups that are associated with a customer, even if the status is not “Active”. |
Note: You can modify the customer account group for the customer number, only if the “Account Group of Activated Customer” field is set as “Allowed” in the “Set Options” activity.
The system displays the following:
Account Group Description |
The textual description of the customer account group. |
Note: If the customer is already associated with an account group, the values of the reference status, customer account group and the account group description will be displayed.. In such a case, you can modify the previous association.
Enter the details in the “Associate All Selected Customers To Account Group” group box for bulk association.
Select All |
Check this box to select all the customers listed in the multiline for association with the customer account group. |
Customer Account Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the customer account group with which the customers listed in the multiline must be associated. The system displays all the customer account groups created in the login OU. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the customer account group.
Click the “Associate Customer” pushbutton to associate the customer with the customer account groups.
