Specifying alternate user
This page can be used to carry out tasks under workflow area.
Select the “Specify Alternate User” link under the "My Page" business component.
The “Specify Alternate User” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered in this page. The specified format is DD-MM-YYYY. |
Enter the following in the “SEARCH CRITERIA” group box to search for an area. Data entry is optional in the following fields:
Area Description |
A small description of the area (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Org. Unit Description |
Use the drop-down list box to select a description of the organization unit, in which tasks have to be performed for a particular area. |
User Name |
The name of the user for whom an alternate user needs to be specified (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Effective From |
The date from which the identified users come into effect to perform tasks (Date format). |
Effective To |
The date till which the identified users are allowed to perform tasks (Date format). |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to view the search results.
Enter the following field in the multiline:
Area Code |
The code of the area as given in workflow inputs metadata (Alphanumeric, 40). Click on the lens icon near the ‘Area code’ field to launch the ‘Help on Area Code’ page. |
The system displays the following field:
Area Description |
The description of the area as given in the workflow inputs. |
Enter the following field in the multiline:
User Org. Unit |
The code of the organization unit to which the user belongs (Integer). |
The system displays the following field in the multiline:
Org. Unit Description |
The description of the organization unit to which the user belongs. |
Enter the following details in the multiline:
User Name |
The name of the user who has been identified to perform tasks in that area (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Effective From |
The date from which the identified users come into effect to perform tasks (Date format). |
Effective To |
The date till which the identified users are allowed to perform tasks (Date format). |
Alternate User Org. Unit |
The code of the organization unit to which the alternate user belongs (Alphanumeric, 16). Help facility available. |
The system displays the following field:
Org. Unit Description |
The description of the organization unit to which the alternate user belongs. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
Alternate User Name |
The name of the alternate user who will perform tasks in the absence of the main user (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Active |
Use the drop-down list box to set the alternate user active or inactive. Select “Yes” to set the alternate user active, else select “No”. |
Click the ‘Save’ pushbutton to save the alternate user details.
Click the ‘Delete’ pushbutton to delete the alternate user details.
You can view alternate users and the users identified for an area. You can also edit or delete users defined earlier.
