Change Password

Role of this Activity in life cycle creation

This activity facilitates an authorised user to change the password.

What the activity comprises

This activity comprises entering the New Password and Confirming New Password.

Working with the screen

• This activity facilitates the changing of password of a user.

• It is available under the  Security component.

• After launching the screen a new password and confirm the new password.

• This screen is launched from "Login" screen when one of the following occurs

  •  If password has expired then the page is redirected to "Change Password" Screen to enable the user to     change his password.

   

  • If the user account is locked and "Account Lock Out Period" expires, then the account is unlocked and the page is redirected to "Change password" Screen. The user has to change the password to proceed.

   

  • If the user account is unlocked by the administrator and the next time user tries to login, then the page is redirected to "Change Password" Screen to enable the user to change his password. 

Description of the fields in the screen

This screen has 2 fields in the header namely ’New Password’ and ‘Confirm Password’.

Tasks that can be carried out with this screen

The Password of a user can be changed using this screen.
