Activating or deactivating the carrier

This page permits you to view the carrier information details, address details and the delivery areas assigned to the carrier. You must specify the reason code, which identifies the reason for the activation or deactivation of the carrier.

Select the “Activate/Deactivate Carrier” link in the “Select Carrier” page.

The "Activate/Deactivate Carrier” page appears.

The system displays the following details in the “Carrier Information” group box:

Carrier Code	The code identifying the carrier.
Status	The status of the carrier code.
Carrier Name	The name of the carrier.
Supplier Code	The code identifying a supplier, if the supplier is also being defined as a carrier.
Carrier Registered At	The organization unit at which the carrier is registered.
Carrier Currency	The currency used by the carrier.
Carrier Language	The language for communication with the carrier.

The system displays the following details in the “Address Details” group box.

Address Id	The code identifying the address of the carrier. Zoom facility available.
Contact Person	The name of the person who has to be contacted regarding the carrier. Zoom facility available.
Address Line1	The first line of the address of the carrier. Zoom facility available.
Address Line2	The second line of the address of the carrier, if any. Zoom facility available.
Address Line3	The third line of the address of the carrier, if any. Zoom facility available.
City	The name of the city. Zoom facility available.
State	The name of the state. Zoom facility available.
Country	The name of the country. Zoom facility available.
Zip Code	The code identifying the area. Zoom facility available.
Phone	The phone number of the carrier.
E-Mail	The e-mail ID of the carrier, if any.
URL	The URL address of the carrier. Zoom facility available.
Effective From	The date starting from which the carrier becomes effective.
Effective To	The end date till which the carrier remains effective.

Enter the following in the “Reason Details” group box:

Reason Code

The code identifying the reason for which the carrier is activated or deactivated (Alphanumeric, 10).

Data entry in this field is mandatory, if you wish to deactivate the carrier.

The system displays the following:

Reason

The description of the reason code.

The system displays the following details in the “Delivery Area Supported” multiline:

Delivery Area Code	The code identifying the area, where the goods are delivered.
Delivery Area Description	The description of the delivery area code.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline.

To view more details

Select the “View Carrier Additional Addresses” link at the bottom of the page, to view the addresses of the carrier.
Select the “View Carrier Transportation Details” link at the bottom of the page to view the transportation details of the carrier.

To activate the carrier

Click the “Activate Carrier” pushbutton to activate the carrier code.

Note: You can activate the carrier code only when it is in “Inactive” status.

The status of the carrier is set as “Active”.

To deactivate the carrier

Click the “Deactivate Carrier” pushbutton to deactivate the carrier.

Note: You can deactivate the carrier code only when it is in “Active” status.

The status of the carrier is set as “Inactive”.

The system displays the following fields:

Created By	The login user ID of the person who created the carrier code.
Created Date	The date on which the carrier is created.
Last Modified By	The login user ID of the person who has last modified the carrier details.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the details were last modified.
