Recording transportation details for the carrier

This page permits you to specify the transportation details for a particular carrier and delivery area. You can specify details, which includes shipping point, transportation mode, transportation time and the time unit.

Select the “Create Carrier Transportation Details” link at the bottom of the “Create Carrier” page.

The "Create Carrier Transportation Details" page appears.

The system displays the following details:

Carrier Code	The code identifying the carrier.
Status	The status of the carrier, which could be “Active”, “Inactive” or “Cancelled”.
Carrier Name	The name of the carrier.
Delivery Area Code	The code identifying the area where the goods are delivered.
Delivery Area Description	The delivery area description.

Enter the following carrier transportation details in the “Transportation Mode Supported” multiline.

Shipping Point	Use the drop-down list box to select the location from where the items will be shipped. The system displays the shipping points created in the “ Pack Slip“ business component.
Transportation Mode	Use the drop-down list box to select the mode of transportation for the goods. The system displays the transportation modes created in the “Category” business component.
Transportation Time	The time taken to transport goods from the shipping point to the delivery area (Alphanumeric, 25). The transportation time can be entered in terms of hours, days, weeks, fortnights or months.
Time Unit	Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measure for the transportation time. The system provides the options “Hours”, “Days”, “Weeks”, “Fortnight” and “Months”.

Click the “Edit Transportation Details” pushbutton to update the transportation details for the carrier and delivery area.
