Returning smart card by user
Select the “Smart Card Return” link under the "Smart Card Interface" business component.
The “Smart Card Return” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “PIN Settings” group box:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields should appear in this page. The system displays the date format from the “User Preferences” business component. |
Insert the smart card returned by the user into the Smart Card reader.
Click the “Retrieve Card Info” pushbutton to display details of the smart card from the Smart Card reader.
The "Configuration Settings" group box displays the following smart card details.
Employee ID |
The employee code identifying the smart card user, who is returning the smart card. |
Smart Card User Name |
The name of the employee, who is returning the smart card. |
Card Status |
The status of the smart card that is returned by the employee, which can be “Active” , “Blocked”, “Locked” or “Cancelled”. |
Smart Card ID |
The identification number of the smart card. |
Date of Issue |
The date on which the smart card was issued. This date marks the start of the validity period of the smart card. |
Date of Expiry |
The date on which the validity period of the smart card expires. |
Verify the details of the smart card and ensure that the smart card is the one that is returned by the employee.
Click the “Return Card” pushbutton to indicate the return of the smart card.
The returned smart card can now be issued as a new card to another employee, using the Smart Card Issue activity.
