Smart Card Administration – A summary of the activity
In this activity, you can change the status of the smart cards and their expiry dates periodically, under the following circumstances:
Users entering the wrong PIN more than the permitted number of times causing the card to be locked.
Extension of expiry dates.
Need for temporary blocking of smart cards due to various reasons such as misplacing of cards, issuing additional cards for an application, etc.
Returning of smart cards by employees who leave the organization, or who no longer need it.
Cancellation of lost or unreturned or damaged smart cards.
