This page allows you to set a criterion to generate a report for the revaluation of a customer’s balances. Tell me more
Select the “Customer Balance Revaluation” link under the “Reports – Receivable Management” business component.
The “Customer Balance Revaluation” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Company Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the company in which the customer has been defined. All the companies that are in the “Active” status and have been mapped to the login organization unit will be available for selection. |
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book in which you want to revalue the customer balance. All the finance books that have been defined for the company will be available for selection. |
Simulated Date |
The date on which the customer balances was revalued (Date Format). |
Customer Group Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the customer group to which the customer belongs. All the customer group codes that have been defined for the company will be available for selection. |
Currency |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the currency in which you want to view the balance revaluation report. All the currency codes that have been assigned to the login company will be available for selection. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |
Entry Point Page |
Select the check box to print the entry point page once. |
Financial Year |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the financial year for which you want to view the balance revaluation report. All the financial years defined for the finance books mapped to the selected company will be available for selection in the chronological order. The financial years could be in the “Open” or the “Provisionally Closed” status. |
Financial Period |
Use the drop-down list box to select the financial period for which you want to view the balance revaluation report. All the financial periods that have been defined for the selected year will be available for selection in the chronological order. The system displays the start date and the end date of the financial period along with the code identifying the financial period. |
Account Code From |
The starting code in the range of account codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 32). |
To |
The ending code in the range of account codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Click the “View Customer Balance Revaluation” pushbutton to view the report.
The system generates and displays the details of the revalued balances based on the search criteria entered. You can view the details of the account in the customer balance is revaluated. The report displays the balance of the customer in the account currency, base currency and parallel base currency. You can view the revalued balance of the customer in the base and parallel base currency. The percentage of gain or loss in the exchange is displayed in the base and parallel base currency respectively. You can also view the revalued date. The report also displays the total revalued balance amount in the account, base and parallel base currency. You can also view the total exchange gain / loss in the base and parallel base currency. This report can be printed.
Customer Balance Revaluation – An overview
Payments for invoices can be received from a customer in the base currency of the company or in the currency in which the customer transacts. If payments from customers are received in a currency different from the base currency of the company, there is a potential risk in the depreciation of the due amount is higher. Hence a company could revalue its balances due from the customers on a date. A report could be generated with the details of the revalued balances.
You can carry out a search by specifying the range of account codes for which you want to view the revaluation report. You can also enter the date on which the customer balances were revalued. The system generates a balance revaluation report based on the search criterion entered. You can view the account code balances in the account currency, parallel base currency and the base currency of the company. You can also view the revalued balances in the base currency and the parallel base currency of the company. Apart from this you can also view the percentage of gain or loss due to the exchange variance in the base currency and the parallel base currency of the company. You can also view the dates on which the account balances were revalued.
