This Help page allows you to search and select a forecast number and transfer the details to the field where it is required.
You can carry out a search by specifying the range of the forecast number that you want to retrieve. You can also search by specifying the login ID of the user who created the forecast number and the description of the cost element structure. The system retrieves the forecast numbers that are in the “Active” status. The selected forecast number is transferred to the required page, when it is confirmed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Forecast #” field in the “Cost Center Profitability Report” of the “EDK Reports – Management Accounting” business component.
The “Help on Forecast #” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a forecast number:

Financial Year From |
Use the drop-down list box to select from which financial period you want to view the forecast. All the financial periods that have been defined in the “Financial Calendar Closure Component” will be available for selection. |

Financial Year To |
Use the drop-down list box to select the ending date of the forecast generated for the planning object. All the financial periods that have been defined in the “Financial Calendar Closure Component” will be available for selection. |

CE Structure ID |
The cost center structure to generate the forecast. Help facility available. |
Note: The code entered in this field must be before the code entered in the “To” field.

Financial Period From |
The starting financial period in the financial year of the forecast. |
|
Financial Period Upto |
The ending financial period in the financial year of the forecast. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Forecast Details” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

The code identifying the cost element structure. |

Amendment # |
The description of the cost element structure. |

Effective From |
The status of the cost element structure |
|
Effective To |
The date after which the forecast becomes ineffective. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select a forecast number.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
