The "Maintain Forecasting Bases" page appears.

CC Structure ID

Use the drop-down list report to specify the cost center structure. The system displays the cost center structures defined in the Cost Setup component.

CE Structure ID

The cost element structure Mandatory . The system displays the cost element structures associated with the cost center you selected in the CC structure ID field.

Help facility available

Note: The CE structure ID that you specify must have an “Active” status.

The system displays the following for the values selected in the above fields.

CC Structure Description

The name / description of the cost center structure.

CE Structure Description

The name / description of the cost element structure.

With Effect From

The start-date of the period for which the forecast is valid (Date Format) Mandatory.

Note: The date you specify in the above field must be the start-date of a MAC period.

To Date

The end-date of the period for which the forecast is valid (Date Format) Mandatory.

Note: The date you specify in the “To Date” field must be the end-date of a MAC period. Additionally, the date you specify must be later than the date entered in the “With Effect From” field.

Note: The system does not allow you to define the forecast, if you have already defined it for any part of the specified period.

The “Search Results” multiline displays the following.

Cost Element

The cost elements defined under the cost element structure specified in the CE Structure ID field in the “Search Criteria” group box.

Note: You must specify the cost element, if are to select “User Defined” in the 'Logic Based On”, “Flat” in the Basis and “% on Actuals” in the Incremental Basis fields.

Logic Based On

Use the drop-down list box to define the logic. The system displays the following values: User defined, Material Revenue, Labour Revenue, Services Revenue, Material Cost, Labour Cost, Services Cost, Payroll Cost and, Not Applicable

Basis

Use the drop-down list box to define the basis of computation. The system displays the following values: Flat, Actuals, % on Element, Per Labour Hour and, Advanced Formula.

Note: You must select the “per Labour Hour” option, if you have selected any one of the following options in the “Logic Based On” field- Material Revenue, Labour Revenue, Services Revenue, Material Cost, Labour Cost, Services Cost or Payroll Cost.

Rate/Value

The rate or amount for

Note: You must specify rate/value if you have selected "User Defined” in the Logic Based On and “Flat” in the Basis fields.

Note: You must not specify any rate/value, 1) If Logic Based on is “'User defined' and Basis is “Advanced”. 2) If the Logic Based On is “User Defined”, Basis is “Flat” and Incremental Basis is “% on Actuals”.

Element

The name of the cost element, if you have selected “% on Element” in the Basis field.

Help facility available

Note: You must specify the element if you have selected "User Defined” in the Logic Based On and “Flat” in the Basis fields.

Note: You must not specify any element if the Logic Based On is "User Defined” and Basis is “Advanced”.

Incremental Basis

Use the drop-down list box to select the basis of increment for the The system displays the following values: Flat, % on Actuals, % on Base Value and % on Previous Value.

Incremental Value

The amount of increase over the pervious or actual amount of expenditure for the cost element.

Note: You must specify an incremental value, 1) If the Logic Based On is “User Defined”, Basis is “Flat” and Incremental Basis is “% on Previous value”. 2) If the Logic Based On is “User Defined”, Basis is “Flat” and Incremental Basis is also “Flat”.  3) If Logic Based On is “User Defined”, Basis is “Flat” and Incremental Basis is “'% on Previous Value”. 4) Logic based on is 'User defined', Basis is “Flat” and Incremental Basis is “% on Actuals”.

Actuals

The amount of expenditure incurred on the cost element during the period between the specified “With Effect From” and “To Date” dates.

Note: You must specify an incremental value, 1) if the Logic Based On is “User Defined”, Basis is “Flat” and Incremental Basis is “% on Actuals”. 2) If Logic Based on is “User Defined”, Basis is “Flat” and Incremental Basis is “'% on Actuals”.

Note: If the “To Date” is not specified for the previous forecast, the system defaults the field to a date that is a day earlier than the “Effective From” date.

To proceed

Note: You can access this page only if you have selected User Defined in the “Logic Based on” field and “Advanced Formula” in the Basis column.

Page Overview

This page also facilitates the transfer of the forecasted revenues and costs for a cost element to a specified budget. However, the budget you specify must be associated with the cost center and cost element period. You can transfer any number of forecasted values to the budget till the status of the budget user is not “Confirmed”.
