An Asset Proposal is done when any assets are proposed and an invoice is made to capitalize the assets. Tell me more

The “Asset Proposal Report” page appears.

Company Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the company for which you want to view the asset proposal report. All the active company codes that are deployed in the login organization unit will be available for selection.

Note: Based on the selection made in the “Company Code”, the corresponding “Business Unit” values will get loaded.

Business Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the business unit of the company for which you want to view the asset proposal report. All the business units that are deployed in the login organization unit of the company will be available for selection in the ascending order.

Note: Based on the selection made in the “Business Unit”, the corresponding “Finance Book” values will get loaded.

Finance Book

Use the drop-down list box to select the finance book for which you want to view the asset proposal report. All the finance books that have been deployed in the login organization unit of the company for the selected business unit will be available for selection in the ascending order.

Asset Class Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the asset class for which you want to view the asset proposal report. All the values that have been deployed in the “Asset Type Definition Component” will be available for selection. The system by default displays the first value loaded.

Proposal Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the proposal type for which you want to view the asset proposal report. You can select from “Acquisition” and “Retirement”. The system displays “Acquisition” by default on the launch of the page.

Financial Year

Use the drop-down list box to select the financial year for which you want to view the asset proposal report. All the financial years that have been defined in the “Financial Calendar Closure Component” will be available for selection. The system by default displays the first value loaded.

Financial Period From

Use the drop-down list box to select from which financial period you want to view the asset proposal report. All the financial periods that have been defined in the “Financial Calendar Closure Component” will be available for selection. Based on the selection made in the "Financial Year”, the corresponding financial periods will get loaded. The system by default displays the first value loaded.

Currency

Use the drop-down list box to select the currency for which you want to view the asset proposal report. All the currencies that are mapped to the company will be available for selection. The system displays “All” by default on the launch of the page.

Cost Center From

The code identifying the cost center for which the “Asset Proposal Report” is to be generated (Alphanumeric 10). Ensure that a valid cost center number is entered here, as defined in the

"Cost Setup” business component. The system leaves the field blank by default.

The code identifying the analysis code for which the “Asset Proposal Report” is to be generated. Ensure that a valid analysis code is entered here, as defined in the “Account Based Budget” business component. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Asset Proposal Report – An overview

Asset Proposal Report - A summary of the activity

An Asset Proposal is used as a formal sanction for acquiring assets.. The Asset Proposal Report captures the details of all the assets proposals both acquisition and retirement. . You can view the details of the asset proposal report based on the selection made in the proposal type. In the proposal type you can select from “Acquisition” or “Retirement”. By selecting “Acquisition” you can view the report of all the acquisition proposals created in ‘’Active’’ status and by selecting retirement you can view the report of all the retirement  proposals created in ‘’Active’ status.

This page allows you to select the company code based on which the business unit vales are loaded. Based on the selected business unit the corresponding finance book values are loaded. You can also select the required depreciation book. In this page you can select the asset class code to locate the proposed asset.  You can also select the proposal type.. You can select the financial year and the corresponding financial period details are loaded. You can specify a range of dates indicating specific dates in which you want to view the report. You can select the currency in which you want to view the report. Select the “Asset Proposal Report” link under “Reports – Fixed Assets Management”.
