The Cost Center – Cost Element report allows you to generate the details of cost elements mapped to each of the cost center. Tell me more

The “Cost Center – Cost Element Mapping Report” page appears.

Cost Center / Unit From

The starting code in the range of codes identifying the cost center / unit from which you want to retrieve the cost element details to generate the mapping report (Alphanumeric, 32). The cost center / unit code must have been defined in the “CSET” component.

Note: If this field is not entered, the details of all the cost centers mapped to the cost element in the business unit will be generated.

To

The ending code in the range of codes identifying the cost center / unit from which you want to retrieve the cost element details to generate the mapping report (Alphanumeric, 32). The cost center / unit code must have been defined in the “CSET” component. The code entered here must be greater than the code entered in the “Cost Center / Unit From” field.

Note: If this field is not entered, the details of all the cost centers mapped to the cost element in the business unit will be generated.

Cost Center Unit Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of cost center for which you want to retrieve the cost element details to generate the mapping report. All the values that are mapped to the “CSET” component and which are defined for the business unit will be available for selection.

Note: All the cost center type details will be generated if a particular cost center is not selected in this field.

Cost Element From

The starting code in the range of codes identifying the cost element for which you want to generate the mapping report (Alphanumeric, 32). The cost element code must have been defined in the “CSET” component.

Note: If this field is not entered, the mapping details of all the cost elements will be generated.

To

The ending code in the range of codes identifying the cost element for which you want to generate the mapping report (Alphanumeric, 32). The cost element code must have been defined in the “CSET” component. The code entered here must be greater than the code entered in the “Cost Element From” field.

Cost Element Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of cost element for which you want to generate the mapping report. You can select from “All”, “Normal Cost Element”, “Allocation Cost Element”, and “Activity Cost Element”. The system displays “All” by default on the launch of the page.

Cost Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of cost for which you want to retrieve the cost element details to generate the mapping report. You can select from “All”, “Standard Rate”, “Alt. Rate 1”, “Alt. Rate 2”, “Alt. Rate 3”, “Alt. Rate 4”, “Alt. Rate 5”, “Alt. Rate 6”, “Alt. Rate 7” and “Alt. Rate 8”. The system displays “All” by default on the launch of the page.

Behavior

Use the drop-down list box to select the cost element behavior for which you want to view the mapping report. You can select from “All”, “Fixed Cost” and “Variable Cost”. The system displays “All” by default on the launch of the page.

Note: All the cost element behaviors will be generated if a particular cost element behavior is not selected in this field.

Traceability

Use the drop-down list box to select the traceable behavior of the cost element for which you want to view the mapping report. You can select from “All”, “Direct” and “Indirect”. The system displays “All” by default on the launch of the page.

Note: All the cost element traceable behaviors will be generated if a particular cost element traceable behavior is not selected in this field.

Effective Date

Use the drop-down list box to select the effective date for the cost element of which you want to generate the mapping report. All the dates must have been defined in the “Cost Setup” component. The start date of all MAC periods of the status “Active” and “Closed” defined for the business unit ID which is mapped to the login organization unit will be available for selection. The system displays the minimum start date value by default on the launch of the page.

Expiry Date

Use the drop-down list box to select the expiry date for the cost element of which you want to generate the mapping report. All the dates must have been defined in the “Cost Setup” component. The end date of all MAC periods of the status “Active” and “Closed” defined for the business unit ID which is mapped to the login organization unit will be available for selection. The system displays the maximum end date value by default on the launch of the page.

Budget No.

A unique number identifying the budget of the cost element for which you want to generate the mapping report (Decimal). All the budget numbers must have been defined in the “Cost Budget” component.

 

Help facility available

Cost Center – Cost Element Mapping Report – An overview

The report also gives you details on the mapped cost elements, such as the element description, element type which could be normal, activity or allocation, the mapping period, the traceability which could be fixed or variable, the standard rate and the alternate rates of the cost type which is specific to activity cost elements. This page also allows you to specify other filter conditions such as filtering on the cost element type or the cost element traceability.  You can also select range of effective and expiry period dates. By default, the report is launched for All Cost Center / All Cost Elements / All Rates / Behavior – Fixed and Variable/ Traceability – Direct and Indirect and for the entire range of MAC Periods available for the business unit.
