Report on currency revaluation
The currency revaluation refers to the revaluation of balances in a foreign currency vis a vis a base currency. Tell me more.
Select the “Report on Currency Revaluation” link under “Reports – Book keeping”.
The “Currency Revaluation” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Print Criteria” group box:
Revaluation Option |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of revaluation option in which you want to view the currency revaluation. You can select from “Customer”, “Supplier”, “Other Balance” and all. The values are loaded in the ascending order. The system displays the first value by default on the launch of the page. |
Simulation Run No |
A unique number identifying the simulation run (Alphanumeric, 18). The number entered in this field refers only to ‘Account balance Simulation run number’. |
Business Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to select the business unit for which you want to view the currency revaluation. |
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the finance book for which you want to view the currency revaluation. |
Financial Year |
Use the drop-down list box to select the financial year in which you want to view the currency revaluation. All the financial years defined for the company up to the current financial year will be available for selection. The system displays the first value by default on the launch of the page. |
Financial Period |
Use the drop-down list box to select the financial period in which you want to view the currency revaluation. All the financial periods defined for the selected financial year will be available for selection. The system displays the first value by default on the launch of the page. |
Control Account Type |
Use the drop- down list box to select the type of the control account in which you want to view the currency revaluation. You can select from “Customer Receivable”, “Customer Prepayment”, “Customer Deposit”, “Supplier Payable”, “Supplier Prepayment”, “Supplier Deposit” and All. The system displays the first value by default on the launch of the page. |
Account Code From |
The starting code number in the range of code numbers identifying the account code for which you want to view the currency revaluation (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the codes that are similar to the value entered here. |

Click the “Print Revaluation Report” push button to print the currency revaluation report.
The system retrieves and displays the currency revaluation report on selection of the revaluation option, business unit, finance book, financial year, financial period. The system displays the account code, account currency, account balance, revalued balance, and the revaluation exchange rate in which the revaluation was carried out. The system also retrieves and displays the revaluation voucher. Revaluation simultaneously happens with respect to Parallel base currency as well.
Report on Currency Revaluation – An overview
This is required to reflect the exchange rate fluctuations, which in turn needs to be reflected in the account balances. This page allows you to print currency revaluation vouchers – account code wise, for ‘Account balance’, Supplier Balance and customer balance. Revaluation can be done for a financial period in a financial year. This page allows you to set the criteria for viewing currency revaluation vouchers of a finance book. You can also view the effect of revaluation simulated by referring to a Simulation run number. You can select the control account type for viewing the currency revaluation report on the select control account. This page allows you to retrieve and display the revaluation voucher.
