This page permits you to edit the part price list details. You can modify the details such as the price list description, effective period, currency, pricing basis, pricing method, price factor and embodiment factor.

The “Edit Part Price List” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following in the “Price List Details” group box:

Part Price List #

The number identifying the part price list.

Revision#

The number identifying the revision of the part price list.

Description

The textual description of the part price list (Alphanumeric, 100). Mandatory.

The system displays the following:

Status

The status of the part price list.

Price List Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the price list category .The system displays all the part price list categories that are in the “Active” status from the “Category“ business component.

Price List Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type to which the part price list belongs. The system lists the following options:

  • Regular – Select this option to indicate whether the price list is part number-based, part group-based or part type-based or flat value-based.

  • OEM – Select this option to indicate that the price list is only part number-based.

By default, the system displays the type corresponding to the part price list number displayed in the “Part Price List #” field.

OEM #

The number identifying the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) (Alphanumeric, 40).

Help facility available.

Ensure that a value is entered here, if “Price List Type” field is set to “OEM”.

Ensure that the value entered here is an active supplier number as defined in the “Supplier” business component.

The system displays the following field:

OEM Name

The name of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).

  • Enter the following fields:

Effective Date From

The date from which the part price list becomes effective (Date Format). Mandatory.

Effective Date To

The date till which the part price list remains effective (Date Format). Ensure that the “Effective To Date” is later than the “Effective From Date”.

Note: Ensure that the “Effective Date From” and “Effective Date To” must be unique for the part price list number-revision number combination.

Usage

Check this box to indicate the usage of the part price list. Mandatory.

  • Part Sale - indicates that the part price list is for the sale of a part.

  • Service Sale – indicates that if associated part is involved in service sale, the price from the list can be utilized.

Remarks

Any additional details pertaining to the part price list (Alphanumeric, 255).

Pricing Basis

Use the drop down list box to select the pricing basis as “Flat”, “Part No”, ”Part Group” or “Part Type”.

  • Flat – Select this option to indicate that the pricing is done as a flat value.

  • Part No –Select this option to indicate that the pricing is based on the part number.

  • Part Group - Select this option to indicate that the pricing is based on the part group.

  • Part Type- Select this option to indicate that the pricing is based on the part type.

The system displays “Part No” by default, if the “Price List Type” is set to “OEM”.

Pricing Method

Use the drop down list box to select the pricing method as “Direct”, ”Factored” or “Factored on Std Price List”.

  • Direct - Select this option if you wish to enter the price for the part directly.

  • Factored - Select this option if you wish to set the pricing method as a percentage of the existing part price.

  • Factored on Std Price List – Select this option if you wish to set the pricing method as a percentage of the standard price list.

The system displays “Direct” by default, if the “Price List Type” is set to “OEM”.

Note: If the “Pricing Basis” is “Flat”, set “Pricing Method” to “Factored” or “Factored on Std Price list”.

If the “Pricing Basis” is “Part No”, set “Pricing Method” as “Direct” or “Factored”.

If the “Pricing Basis” is “Part Group” or “Part Type”, set “Pricing Method” as “Factored” or “Factored on Std Price list”.

Price Factor

The price factor of the part (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is a positive numeric value.

This field should not be left blank, when the “Pricing Basis” is “Flat”.

Std. Part Price List

The existing standard part price list that is in “Active” status. (Alphanumeric, 10).

This field cannot be left blank, if the “Pricing Method” is set to “Factored on Std. Part Price List”.

Embodiment Factor

The amount levied on the customer for holding his goods in the warehouse. (Decimal).

Currency

Use the drop-down list box to select the currency for the part price list. The system lists all the currency codes and the base currency that are identified as permitted currencies and the base currency for the company in the “Enterprise Setup” business component. By default, the system displays the Base Currency.

Other Currencies

Use the dropdown list box to set the other currencies value as “Applicable” or  “Not Applicable”. By default, the system displays the value as ”Not Applicable”.

File Name

The name of the file used as reference for the part price list (Alphanumeric, 50).

Approver Comments

The comments given by the approver on returning the document (Alphanumeric, 255).

Additional information pertaining to the confirmation of the part price list (Alphanumeric, 255).

To cancel the part price list

Note: The system updates the status of part price list as “Cancelled”.

To edit the part price list

Note: Based on the selected “Pricing Basis” and “Pricing Method” ensure that either part number, part type or part group exists for the specified part price list number, if Price list type is changed from “OEM” to “Regular”. The system deletes the existing part-based pricing details, if the “Pricing Basis” is set other than “Part No”.

Ensure that the part number exists for the specified part price list number, if “Price List Type” is changed from “Regular” to “OEM”. The system deletes the part group-based and part type-based pricing details.

To confirm the part price list

Note: The system updates the status of part price list as “Confirmed”.

 The system updates the status as "Active", if the "Activation of Part Price List " is set as "Not Required" in the "Set Options" activity.

If the “Pricing Method” is set as "Factored On Std. Price List", the system ensures that the standard part price list # is not cyclically dependent on any earlier factored on price lists. For example, if PPL 1 is primary price list, PPL2 is factored on PPL1, PPL3 is factored on PPL2 then if PPL4 is set as factored on PPL1 or PPL2, the system throws cyclic dependency error.

Based on the selected “Pricing Basis” and “Pricing Method” ensure that either part number, part type or part group exists for the specified part price list number, if Price list type is changed from “OEM” to “Regular”. The system deletes the existing part-based pricing details, if the “Pricing Basis” is set other than “Part No”.

Ensure that the part number exists for the specified part price list number, if “Price List Type” is changed from “Regular” to “OEM”. The system deletes the part group-based and part type-based pricing details.

To modify further details of the part price list

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By

The name of the user who created the part price list.

Created Date

The date on which the part price list was created.

Last Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the part price list.

Last Modified Date

The date on which part price list was last modified.

Confirmed By

The name of the user who confirmed part price list.

Confirmed Date

The date on which part price list was confirmed.
