Setting Pricing Engine Options

This page allows you to set pricing engine options.

Select the “Set Pricing Engine Options” link under the “Pricing Settings” business component.

The “Set Pricing Engine Options” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Optional Parameters” group box:

Optional Parameter 1	Use the drop-down list box to select the first optional parameter. The system lists the options, “Preferred Carrier”, “Transportation mode”, “Inco term”, “Freight term”, “Pay term”, “Receipt method”, “Sale Purpose”, “Freight billable”, and “Stock status”.
Optional Parameter 2	Use the drop-down list box to select the second optional parameter. The system lists the options, “Preferred Carrier”, “Transportation mode”, “Inco term”, “Freight term”, “Pay term”, “Receipt method”, “Sale Purpose”, “Freight billable”, and “Stock status”.
Optional Parameter 3	Use the drop-down list box to select the third optional parameter. The system lists the options, “Preferred Carrier”, “Transportation mode”, “Inco term”, “Freight term”, “Pay term”, “Receipt method”, “Sale Purpose”, “Freight billable”, and “Stock status”.
Optional Parameter 4	Use the drop-down list box to select the fourth optional parameter. The system lists the options, “Preferred Carrier”, “Transportation mode”, “Inco term”, “Freight term”, “Pay term”, “Receipt method”, “Sale Purpose”, “Freight billable”, and “Stock status”.

Note: Ensure that the values selected in the “Optional Parameter” fields are unique. You cannot modify the parameters that are already set, if they are referred in any rule.

Enter the following fields in the “Rule Engine Options” group box:

Base Part Price List #

The base price list of the part that you wish to specify as default for the pricing engine search (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the part price list is already defined in the “Create Part Price List” activity of the “Part Price List” business component and is in the “Active” status.

Base Service Price List #

The base service price list that you wish to specify as default for the pricing engine search (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the service price list is already defined in the “Create Service Price List” activity of the “Service Price List” business component and is in the “Active” status.

Prioritization Of Rules

Use the drop-down list box to select the option by which the TC rules will be prioritized. The system lists the following options:

By Parameter Priority – Select this option to indicate that the taxes and charges rule will be selected based on the priority associated to parameters in ‘Set Priority and Weightage’ activity of the ‘Pricing Settings’ component.
By Parameter Weightage – Select this option to indicate that the taxes and charges rule will be selected based on the weightage associated to parameter parameters in ‘Set Priority and Weightage’ activity of the ‘Pricing Settings’ component.

Click the “Set” pushbutton to set the values specified.
