Select the “Edit Competency Gaps” option from the left pane.
The “Select Previous Competency” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. |
Enter the following.
Training Plan Unit |
The name of the organization unit in which the training plan and budget components are deployed. If there is more than one value, the system will display “Select” as the default value in the drop-down list box. You can select the required training calendar unit from the drop-down list box. |
Employment Unit |
Select the organization unit that interacts with the training plan and budget component to access the competency gap information of the employee. This organization unit must hold the Employment Information component. |
Select the competency gap, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
Use this method if you know the complete code of the gap criteria.
Enter the code of the gap criteria that must be modified or deleted, in the “Gap Criteria Code” field.
Select the “Edit Previous Competency Gaps” hyperlink.
The “Edit Competency Gaps” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
To edit the competency gap, refer to the topic “Edit Previous Competency Gap” .
Use this method if you know just a few characters of the gap criteria code, gap as on date, competency or the gap criteria description
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Gap Criteria Code |
To view all the gap criteria codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the code. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, Gap*, will search for those gap criteria descriptions that start with Gap*. Other examples are *Gapi, Gap*l, and *GapC* |
Gap Criteria Description |
To view all the gap criteria descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the description. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, GapCri*, will search for those gap criteria descriptions that start with GapCri*. Other examples are *GapCri, GapCri*l, and *GapCri* |
Gap as on Date |
To view all the gap criteria details for a particular date, enter the date. |
Competency |
To view all the competency descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the description. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, SQL*, will search for those gap criteria descriptions that start with SQL*. Other examples are *QL, S*L, and *Sq |
Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
Note:
If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the
records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected training plan organization unit.
The system displays the following details that satisfy the search criteria specified, in the search results multiline.
Gap Criteria Code |
The code that defines the gap criteria, for which the competency gap analysis is to be done. |
Gap Criteria Description |
The brief and unique description of the gap criteria code, for which the competency gap analysis is to be done |
Gap as on Date |
The date on which, the gap criteria is valid. |
Competency |
The description of the competency, for which the competency gap analysis is to be done. |
Select the “Edit Previous Competency Gap” link from the “Select previous competency gap” page if you have chosen Direct entry method.
Alternatively, select the data hyperlink on the required “Gap criteria description” field of the multline, to move to the “Edit Competency Gap” page.
