The “Substitute Employee” activity allows you to search for and identify a substitute for an outgoing employee. You can also identify temporary substitutes, who are available for the period you specify.
You are to enter the employee code of the outgoing employee, and carry out a search. Essentially, the purpose of the search is to find a match in employee records for the specified skill and other criteria that you specify. You can specify some or all of the following criteria, depending on the extent to which you require to narrow down your search:
Employment unit
Any specific class of skill. It could be job skill, personal skill or position skill.
Department to which the employees belong
Job
Grade of the employee
Skill type
Rota schedule
Any stored procedure rule that will qualify the search
Skill count: For instance, the outgoing employee could have 5 job skill elements. If you chose “job skill" as a criterion and then specify the skill count to be 3, the system will retrieve those employees who possess a minimum of 3 job skills in common with the outgoing employee.
Skill ratio: This refers to the sum of possessed skill levels of the employee, based upon which the system must retrieve the employee records. Tell me more
After you identify the substitute employee, you are to map him or her to the outgoing employee's schedule.
