4 To create a external venue, specify the following:
Training General Information Unit |
0Select the organization unit in which the training general information unit is deployed. The drop-down list box displays all the organization units where you have permission to create training general information groups. These organization units are called setup OUs. A setup organization unit is an organization unit in which you normally define master information. There are other organization units that can access information from this setup organization unit. |
Venue Code |
A unique code to identify the venue. |
Venue Name |
The name of the venue. |
4 To make the venue unavailable for other activities, select the check box beside the Inactive field. Otherwise, you can leave the check box blank.
To create venue
If you want to reuse the information of an existing venue for the new venue being created, select a suitable venue from the "Default with Venue" drop-down list box.
The system displays the following details for the selected venue. Modify the details, if required to suit the new venue being created. If a suitable venue is not available, record the details from the beginning for the first time.
Organization |
The name of the organization. |
Contact Person |
The person whom you can contact for details on the venue. |
Address |
The address of the venue. |
Country |
From the drop-down list box, select the country in which the venue is located. |
State |
From the drop-down list box, select the state in the specified country in which the venue is located. |
Post Code |
The postal code of the state you selected in the drop-down list box. |
Internal |
Select the check box to indicate the venue is located within the organization premises. |
Phone 1 |
The phone number of the venue. |
Fax |
The fax number of the venue. |
Phone 2 |
The second phone number, if available. |
Mobile |
The mobile number of the venue. |
Email ID |
The email address of the venue. |
Home Page |
The home page address of the venue. |
Comments |
Any remarks on the venue. |
Applicable To |
From the drop-down list box, select the organization unit to which the venue is to be made available. The options in the drop-down list box are described below.

To save the details
Select the Save pushbutton to save the details entered.
To enter comments
4 Select the book icon beside the Comments field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.
4 You can view, modify or delete the content.
4 Select the OK pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
4 Select the Cancel pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
To proceed
Select the "Venue Org Unit Mapping" link to map the venue to one or more organization units.
Note: You must choose the Selective Org. Units option in the "Applicable To" drop down list box to use this link .
