Select the “Create External Trainer” option from the left pane.
The “Create External Trainer” page appears.
The
system displays the following:
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. |
Enter
the following:
Training General Information Unit |
Select the organization unit in which you must create the external trainer. |
Trainer Code |
A unique code to define the trainer. |
Trainer Name |
The name of the trainer. |
Inactive |
Select the checkbox if you want to make the external trainer unavailable for other activities. |
To create a new external trainer
If you want to reuse the information of an existing external trainer for the new external trainer being created, select a suitable external trainer from the "Default with Trainer" drop-down list box.
The system displays the following details for the selected external trainer. Modify details, if required to suit the new external trainer. If a suitable external trainer is not available, record details from the beginning for the first time.
Organization |
The organization for which the external trainer works. |
Job Title |
The short description of the job that the trainer holds. |
Address |
The address of the organization to which the trainer belongs. |
Country |
From the drop- down list box, select the country in which the organization is located. |
State |
From the drop-down list box, select the name of the state in the specified country in which the organization is located. |
Postal Code |
The
postal code of the selected state. |
Phone 1 |
The phone number of the trainer. |
Phone 2 |
The second phone number of the trainer, if available. |
Fax |
The fax number of the trainer, if available. |
Mobile |
The |
Home Page |
The home page address of the trainer. |
Email ID |
The email address of the trainer. |
Comments |
Any comments pertaining to the trainer. |
Applicable To |
The organization unit to which the external trainer needs to be made available. The options in the drop-down list box are described below.

To default with an external trainer
From the “Default with Trainer” drop-down list box, select a trainer previously setup.
The page displays the details of the selected external trainer.
Enter the necessary modifications and save the details entered.
To enter comments
Select the Book icon beside the “Comments” field. The system displays a dialog box.
You can enter the contents.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
To save the record
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details entered.
To proceed
Select the “Trainer - Org Unit Mapping” link to map the trainer to organization units.
Note: You must choose the “Selective Org. Units” option in the "Applicable To" drop down list box to use this link .
