Click “Book Time” button to navigate to the “Add / Edit – Project Time Booking” pop-up.
The following details are displayed in the header:
Hours Booked so far |
When the user enters the time, on click of save/submit, the callout refreshes and the hours booked will be displayed here. When the user clicks on “Book Time” button for the first time and the callout launches, this field will be blank. Note: Every time the user enters entry and click on ‘Save’, the screen will refresh and the cumulative hours booked for the day will be displayed here. On every save the screen will refresh displaying hours booked. . |
Date |
The date that is highlighted in carousel is displayed here. |
Enter the following field details:
Project |
From the drop-down list box, select the required project. The combo is loaded with projects to which the employee is allocated. Note: If the employee on the selected date is associated to only one project in employee Project Assignment, then the combo is defaulted with that project. If he is associated to more than one project, then the combo is defaulted with ‘Select’. |
Activity |
From the drop-down list box, select the required activity. The combo is loaded with various mapped activities. Note:

From the drop-down list box, select the required task. Note:

Role |
If the employee on the selected date is associated to only one role in Employee Project assignment then the combo is defaulted with that particular role. If the employee is associated to more than one role then it is defaulted with ‘Select’. Note: On selecting the project, the role combo is reloaded with the roles that are mapped to that employee in that project for that day. It is loaded with Select when there are more than one role mapped to that employee. When there is only one role mapped to the employee on that day, then it is defaulted in ‘Init’. This control is visible only when SRP PS applicable parameter is set as Yes |
Location |
If the employee on the selected date is associated to only one project and one location in Employee Project assignment then the combo is defaulted with that customer location. This is not applicable for non-billable / internal projects, new joinee pool, resource pool or bench projects. If the employee is associated to more than one customer location or project then the combo is defaulted with ‘Select’. This control is visible only when SRP PS applicable parameter is set as Yes |
Site |
If the employee on the selected date is associated to only one project and one site in Employee Project assignment then the combo is defaulted with that site. If the employee is associated to more than one site or project then it is defaulted with ‘Select’. This combo is loaded with system defined metadata (Onsite, Offshore and Offshore). This control is visible only when SRP PS applicable parameter is set as Yes |
Billable |
The checkbox is defaulted with tick or untick based on whether the employee hours are billable or not as assigned in Employee Activity Task Mapping. The user is also allowed to select or deselect the billable check box |
Hours |
Enter the hours in this field. Note: The hours entered cannot be negative. Also the hours entered for a day should not exceed 24 hours. |
Units |
Enter the units in this field. Note: The units entered cannot be negative. Units are mandatory only for projects whose billing rule is output based. This control is visible only when SRP PS applicable parameter is set as Yes |

Key in any remarks or feedback, if any. |
Click “Save” to save the details entered.
Note:
Once the record has been saved successfully, the entry will appear in the main screen. The status dot will appear in grey color before the project.
On every save the screen will refresh displaying hours booked so far for that day. The user will manually close the callout in this case.
In case where a record has been rejected and then the employee with or without making any changes saves the record, the record will get saved and the status icon will turn into grey color.
Click “Submit” to submit the details.
Note: When the employee has already saved a record in draft status, then on click of submit, the records will be submitted. The status icon will turn into orange color. Once the record is submitted the same cannot be edited.
