Select “Define User Permissions to Component – Org. Unit” option from the left pane.
The system displays the “Select User for Setting Permissions” page.
Select the required user for whom you want to set permissions either through the “Direct Entry” option or the “Search Criteria” option.
Use the direct entry option if you know the complete name of the user for whom you want to set permissions.
Enter the complete name of the user in the “User Name” field.
Select the “Set User Permissions” hyperlink beside.
The system displays the “Set Permissions to Component – Org. Unit” page which you can use to set permissions.
Use this method, if you know only a few characters of the user name. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the user name contains. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Specify search parameter for the following detail.

To view all the user names containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these user names. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. To get Elizabeth, type in EL*, to search for those user names that start with EL. Other examples are BETH, EL*TH, and ELIZ*. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
The system displays the following detail in the multiline for the records that satisfy the search criteria specified.

Select the hyperlink on the required user name in the multiline.
The system displays the “Set Permissions to Component – Org. Unit” page which you can use to set permissions.
