NS Claims Report
Through this activity, you can generate an NS Claims report. NS Claims pertain to the national service rendered by an employee by serving in the army, air force, police force etc.
All male citizens of Singapore should render national service as reservists for a maximum of 40 days. During this time, they will receive a National Service Allowance from Mindef (Ministry of Defense), which includes normal base pay and allowances. The employee, with the consent of the employer, files a report to the Ministry of Defense, claiming payment for his reservist duty. The amount paid by Mindef will be based on the average of six-months’ basic and other allowances. So the report will indicate the above-mentioned amount and the number of days he was on reservist duty. The employer does not pay salary for this period. However, the employer has to contribute CPF for that period.
To generate an NS Claims report, you must specify the following details:
The description of the organization unit in which the ‘Singapore Statutory Reports’ component is deployed.
The unique employee code of the employee for whom the report is to be generated.
The period during which the employee rendered national service.
After specifying the above details, you can generate the report.
