4 Select “View User Permissions on Employees” from left pane.

4 Select the user record, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
To select through Direct Entry
Use this method if you know the complete name of the required user.
4 Enter the full name of the user for whom you want to set permissions in the “User Name” field.
4 Select the “View User Permissions” hyperlink beside.
4 The “View User Permissions” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
4 To view user permissions, refer to the topic “Viewing User Permissions”.
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know only a few characters of the user name. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the user name contains. Optionally, you can enter the employee code and employee name fields, to narrow your search. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
4 Enter the following search criteria values in some or all of the following fields.
User Name |
To view all the user names containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these user names. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. To get Elizabeth, type in EL*, to search for those user names that start with EL. Other examples are BETH, EL*TH, and ELIZ*. |
Employee Code |
To view all the employee codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these employee codes. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. ECC1*, will search for those employee codes that start with ECC1. Other examples are *ECC1, EC*C1, ECC1* and ECC1*. |
Employee Name |
To view all the employee names containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these employee names. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. To get Jonathan, type in JO*, to search for those employee names that start with JO. Other examples are *NATHAN, JO*AN, and JONATH*. |
4 Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are available.
4 The system displays the following details in the multiline for the records that satisfy the search criteria specified.
User Name |
The name of the user. |
Employee Code |
The employee code of the user. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
4 Select the hyperlink in the “User Name” column of the required record.
4 The system displays the “View User Permissions” page which you can use to view the complete details of the permissions set for the user.
