Selecting a payroll for editing

Select “Edit Payroll ” from the left pane
The “Select Payroll for Edit ” page appears.
The system displays the following field.
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. Tell me more |
Enter the following.
Payroll Definition Unit |
Select the organization unit in which you must edit payroll. Tell me more |
Language |
The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. This refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity. From the drop-down list box, select the language in which you require to edit the payroll record |
To specify through search criteria
Enter the following fields in the search criteria group box.
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the payroll code or the payroll description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the payroll code or description contain. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Payroll Code |
To view all payroll codes containing specific characters, type in the starting letter/s of these characters or in any combination with wild cards. Example. PC1*, which will search for those payroll code which starts with PC |
Payroll Short Description |
To view all payroll short description containing specific characters, type in the starting letter/s of these characters or in any combination with wild cards. Example, PD1*, which will search for those payroll description which starts with PD |
Payroll Long Description |
To view all payroll long description containing specific characters, type in the starting letter/s of these characters or in any combination of wild cards. Example, PPR*, will search for those payroll long descriptions that start with PPR. Other examples are *PPR, PP*R, PPR* and *PPR* |
Select the “Search” pushbutton to view the list of payrolls satisfying these search criteria in the multiline.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system
will fetch the records that satisfy this value. If more than one search
criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying
all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected payroll definition unit.
The system will display the following in the multiline.
Payroll Code |
The unique code that identifies a payroll. |
Payroll Description |
The long description of the payroll. |
Payroll Type |
The type of payroll. |
Payroll Calendar Description |
The description of the payroll calendar that has been mapped to the payroll. |
You can carry out mass modifications of payroll descriptions, in the payroll records that appear.
Choose the specific payroll for which modifications are required, by selecting the check box beside the record.
Select “Edit Payroll” link at the bottom of the page.
The “Edit Payroll” page appears.
