My Dashboard – A Summary of the Activity
An appraisal process is used to capture, measure, and manage an employee’s progress and/or performance on the job during a predetermined time frame. The “My Dashboard” activity enables you to view the employee’s pending appraisal document at any point of time that is pending with the login employee. At any stage, it facilitates the user to access the pending appraisal documents instead of having to launch the user interface by navigating through menus and submenus or for picking up appraisal type or appraisal calendars. Employee could view the past appraisals along with the ongoing appraisals. Past appraisal of the employee could be used to evaluate the performance by the employee. Employee could view the past four appraisal period either in a graphical format or in a grid format.
If Self Service is applicable for an organization then once the employee completes his self-appraisal, it will be viewed by the manager and possibly a second level manager and/or HR representative.

Manage my Appraisals
The “Manage my Appraisals” activity enables the employee to perceive and evaluate his job performance and complete the self-assessment. Having the employee complete a self-assessment allows the appraiser to view performance and get the employee's "side of the story". It can also help the appraiser understand the employee's strengths and weaknesses from the employee’s perspective.
ØSelect the “My Dashboard” activity under the “Performance Management Self Service”.
The “Manage my Appraisals” page appears.
The “Manage my Appraisals” page is divided into two sections:
4 The left section of the page – Ongoing Appraisals
4 The right section of the page – Past Appraisals
The system displays the following in the “Ongoing Appraisals” multiline:
Appraisal Type |
The type of appraisal. |
For Period |
The period for which the appraiser is mapped to the employee. |
Stage |
The different stages of appraisal. It could be one of the following: § Objective Setting § Self Appraisal § Acceptance by Employee The status could be either of the following: § Pending: The appraiser is yet to appraise the employee § In Progress: The appraiser has started the appraisal for the employee but not completed it yet § Completed: The appraiser has completed the appraisal for the employee Help facility available for the above mentioned appraisal stages. |
Due Date |
The due date of the stage applicable for the employee. |
ØClick icon on the multiline menu. The “Column Chooser” window appears. You are allowed to select the check box of the required column to be displayed in the multiline.
ØEnter the following field details in the “Past Appraisals” section:
Appraisal Type |
From the drop-down list box, select the type of appraisal. For instance, the options could be: § Contract End Appraisal § Annual Appraisal § Confirmation Appraisal § Fast Tracker Planning § Half Yearly Appraisal |
ØSelect the required appraisal type and click . The graph view of the past appraisal records of the employee for the selected appraisal type is displayed.
ØSelect the required appraisal type and click . The grid view of the past four appraisal records of the employee for the selected appraisal type is displayed. The grid shows the appraisal period and the corresponding rating grade.
Help facility available for the Rating grades displayed in the multiline.
Alert color coding in “Managing my Appraisals” multiline:
4 Green – When the due date is with in the target date
4 Amber – When the due date is very near to the target date
4 Red – When the due date has exceeded the target date
Manage Employee Appraisals
The “Manage Employee Appraisals” activity enables the appraiser to evaluate the employee’s job performance and complete his/her appraisal. Once the appraiser has evaluated the employee’s job performance, it is the duty of the reviewer to further evaluate the employee’s appraisal process.
ØSelect the “Manage Employee Appraisals” activity under the “Performance Management Administration”.
The “Manage Employee Appraisals” page appears.
ØEnter the following field details in the header:
Appraisal Admin Unit |
From the drop-down list box, select the required admin unit to which the employee belongs. The combo is loaded with various units for you to choose. Mandatory. |
Employment Unit |
From the drop-down list box, select the required employment unit to which the employee belongs. The combo is loaded with various units for you to choose. Mandatory. |
Display |
From the drop-down list box, select the required document as per requirement. The combo is loaded with the system defined quick codes. The options available are: § Documents pending with me – The appraisal documents pending with the employee § Documents of Direct Reports – The appraisal documents pending with the appraiser for approval |
Note: The system displays “Documents pending with me” by default on launch of the page.
The system displays the following in the “Review Documents” multiline:
Employee |
The name, employee code and organization of the employee for whom the appraisal was performed. |

The type of appraisal. |
