Date Format

The date format that is applicable to the login user. More Details

Grade Set Code

The unique code of the grade set to which the grade is be attached. Employees in the organization are classified into different grade sets. For example, all managers can be attached to the grade set ‘Managers’.

Grade Code

The unique code of  the grade.

Language

The language you selected in the previous page is displayed.

From the “Language” drop-down list box, you can select any other language, to retrieve the record in the selected language.

Viewing Effective Dates

You can use the “Access Data History” group box to view the effective dates of the previous versions of the record.

Effective From

The date from which the corresponding version of the grade record is effective.

Effective To

The date till which the corresponding version of the grade record is effective.

Viewing details of the grade

Grade Short Description

A brief description of the grade. For example, if the grade M1 is attached to the grade set ‘Managers’, you can view the specified short description of the grade, say, ‘Senior Managers’ or ‘Snr Mngrs’.

Grade Long Description

A more elaborate description to make the description of the grade clearer. For example, for the grade M1 for which the short description is specified as ‘Senior Managers’, you can view the specified long description, for example, ‘All managers with more than five years experience'

Inactive

Indicates if the grade is active and available for use or is in inactive status. “Yes” indicates the grade is in inactive status, “No” indicates it is active and available for use.

Applicable to

One of the following three options are displayed:

 

  • “All Org. Units” refers to all the applicable organization units for the setup unit.

  • “Login (Operative/Current/Working/Chosen) Org. Unit” refers to the organization unit you selected in the “Unit Structure Setup” unit, if applicable.

 

  • “Selective Org. Units” refers to a distinct set of applicable organization units to be specified in the “Org. Unit Mapping” page.

 

  • “Existing Mapped Org. Units” refers to maintaining the most recent mapping of the applicable organization units.

Inactive

“Yes” or “No” is displayed. If it is

 

“Yes”, it indicates that the grade cannot be used for subsequent activities.

 

“No”, it indicates that the grade is active and available for use. For instance, you can map an employee to a grade.

The comments entered pertaining to the details entered.
