Select the “Department-Cost Center Mapping” hyperlink in the “Create Department” page.
The “Department-Cost Center Mapping” page appears.
The system displays the following details at the top of the page.
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. More Details |
Organization Structure Unit |
The organization unit in which the organization structure component is deployed |
Department Code |
The unique code of the department to which you want to map the required cost centers. |
Department Short Description |
The description of the department for which you want to map the required cost centers. |
You can use the “Access Data History” group box to view the effective dates of the previous versions of the department record.
Effective From |
The date from which the corresponding version of the department record is effective. |
Effective To |
The date till which the corresponding version of the department record is effective. |
Select the “Previous” pushbutton to view the effective dates of the previous version of the record.
Select the “Next” pushbutton to view the effective dates of the next version of the record.
The system displays in the multiline, the employment units to which the department is mapped. You can view the code and description of the employment units. To assign a cost center to a department-employment unit combination,
Use the “Cost Center Code” column of the multiline to specify the unique code of the cost center, which you want to assign to the employment unit in the corresponding column of the multiline. You can also access the help page to select the required cost center code.
Select the “Save” pushbutton below the multiline after specifying the cost center code.
The system displays the description of the specified cost center in the corresponding “Cost Center Description” column of the multiline.
Note: The system displays the following details in the corresponding columns of the multiline.
Employment Unit Code |
The unique code of the employment unit to which the department is mapped. |
Employment Unit Description |
The unique description of the corresponding employment unit. |
You can modify an existing department - cost center mapping record using either the “Correct” or “Update” modification options. If you select the “Correct” option, the system modifies the record without changing the effective dates. If you select the “Update” option, you are to provide a “New Effective From” date and time. The existing record will become ineffective from one minute prioir to the “New Effective From” value. The system opens a new record effective from the “New Effective From” value specified.
To modify the department details, specify the following:
Modification Option |
Select the required modification option, either “Correct” or “Update” from the drop-down list box. |
New Effective From |
Enter the date from which a new version of the record along with the modifications you made, should be created.. |
Select the "Save" pushbutton to save the details entered.
Use this page to map the required competencies to the created department.
