Select “View Work location” from the left pane.
The “Select Work location for Viewing” page appears.
The system displays the following detail at the top right of the page.
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
To select a work location, enter the following fields:
Organization Structure Unit |
The organization unit in which the organization structure component is deployed. |
Language |
The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. In other words, this refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity. |

From the drop-down list box, select the language in which you require to edit the record. |
Select the work location record, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
Use this method if you know the complete work location code.
Enter the complete code of the work location in the “Work Location Code” field.
Select the “View Work Location” hyperlink beside.
The “View Work Location” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
To view work location, refer to the topic “Viewing a Work Location”.
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the work location code. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the work location code contains. Search based on wild card characters is also supported. To narrow your search to the closest matching records, you can also enter search criteria for the short description of the work location, the first line of the work location address or the name of the country in which the work location is situated.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Work location Code |
To view all work location codes containing specific characters, type in a starting range of these characters along with the wild card character *. Example: If you type in WLN*, the system will display all the work location records having the prefix WLN. |
Work location Short Description |
To view all work location short descriptions containing specific characters, type in a range of these characters along with the wild card character "*" Examples: CA, NY . |
Address Line 1 |
The first line in the work location address. |
Country |
The country in which the work location is situated. |
State |
The state in which the work location is situated in the country specified. |
City/Town |
The city or town at which the work location is situated in the specified country and state. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are available for the selected organization structure unit.
The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the work location records that satisfy the search criteria specified.

Work location Short Description |
The short description of the work location. |
Work Location Long Description |
The more elaborate description of the work location. |
Address Line 1 |
The first line in the work location address. |
Country |
The country in which the work location is situated. |
State |
The state in which the work location is situated in the country specified. |
City/Town |
The city or town at which the work location is situated in the specified country and state. |
Select the hyperlink on the short description of the required work location record in the multiline.
The system displays the “View Work location” page, which you can use to view the details.
