Enter the complete code of the scale in the “Scale Code” field.
Select the “View Scale” hyperlink beside the scale code field.
The system displays the “View Scale” page.
Use the search facility to fetch the required scale record in the multiline.
Select the data hyperlink on the required scale.

The system displays the following details on top of the page.
Organization Structure Unit |
The organization structure unit in which the “Organization Structure” component is deployed. |
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Select the required language from the “Language” drop-down list box.
The system displays the scale record details in the specified language.
You can view the following details of the scale.
Scale Code |
The scale code you specified in the “Select Scale for Viewing” page. |
Scale Short Description |
The brief description of the scale. |
Scale Long Description |
The more elaborate description of the scale. |
Currency |
The type of currency in which the salary is paid. From the drop-down list box, select the currency applicable to the scale. |
Inactive |
“Yes” or “No” is displayed. |

Increment Type |
“Amount” or “Percentage” is displayed, to indicate the mode of payment of increments to the salary. |

The following are displayed in the multiline.
Lower Limit |
The lower limit of the scale. For example, if the scale is 1000-100-2000, 1000 indicates the lower limit, 100 indicate the increment value, and 2000 indicates the upper limit. |
Increment |
The amount or percentage, by which the salary can be incremented. For example, if the scale is 1000-100-2000, 1000 indicates the lower limit, 100 indicate the increment value, and 2000 indicates the upper limit. |

The “Increment Type” field at the top determines whether the increment will be given as a percentage or an amount. |
Upper Limit |
The upper limit of the scale. For example, if the scale is 1000-100-2000, 1000 indicates the lower limit, 100 indicate the increment value, and 2000 indicates the upper limit. |
Industry Average |
A number to indicate the average scale in the industry for this scale. |
Comparison Ratio |
A number to indicate the ratio of the average salary of all the employees within the tier, to the industry average. |
