Ensure that you are in the “Select Department for Viewing” page.
Enter the complete code of the department in the “Department Code” field.
Select the “View Department Details” hyperlink beside the employee code field.
The system displays the “View Department Details” page.
Use the search facility to fetch the required department records in the multiline.
Select the data hyperlink on the short description of the required department record.
The system displays the “View Department Details” page.
The system displays the following details at the top of the page.
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Organization Structure Unit |
The organization unit in which the organization structure component is deployed. |
Department Code |
The unique code of the selected department. |
Language |
The language you selected in the previous page is displayed. From the “Language” drop-down list box, you can select any other language, to retrieve the record in the selected language. |
You can use the “Access Data History” group box to view the effective dates of the previous versions of the department record.
Effective From |
The date from which the corresponding version of the department record is effective. |
Effective To |
The date till which the corresponding version of the department record is effective. |
Select the “Previous” pushbutton to view the effective dates of the previous version of the record.
Select the “Next” pushbutton to view the effective dates of the next version of the record.
You can view and view the following department details.
Department Short Description |
A short description to identify the department. For example, if the department being viewed is “Administration”, the short description can be “Admin”. |
Department Long Description |
A long description to make the department description more clear. For example, if the short description is “Admin”, the long description can be “To handle administration with regard to Marketing and Sales”. |
Inactive |
Indicates if the department is active and available for use or otherwise. If the department is active, it indicates that it is available for use in other activities. “Yes” indicates that the department is inactive and not available for use. “No” indicates that the department is active and available for use in other activities. |
